What next ? Shipping out Solly March who’s injury record isn’t looking to rosey in the last 3 years.
When March gets fit again he's normally fine ( if not at his best) when he plays.Webster takes 5-6 games to get up to speed

I also don't think Webster is as bad as he is made out to be, but I really don't want him to have a run of games.
I don't think he fits into DeZerbiball.
He's not capable of playing out from the back in RDZ's style.
Adam isn't an intuitive one touch player, he's an excellent two touch defender, which is totally at odds with the whole teams performance.

Assuming GPott gets a top flight club (somewhere) I'm sure Webster will fit right in and will have plenty of fans at his new club
Well put.

But we are talking about availability right - 2 long layoffs in 3 years for Solly now 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have no are to grind here and injuries are part of football, some luckier than others. But it’s a squad game

Sadly it’s a game Brighton ‘fans’ love to play, happened to many before and will happen to others in the future I guess. Normally English lads as well 🤷🏻‍♂️

Why, when I read that, did I do so in a pirate accent?🏴‍☠️

Ballsy performance from Adam tonight. RDZ in his press conference said that he might be on the bench. He started, and played most of the game despite not being ready, presumably because someone needed to stand up. I hope the problem that took him off is not a serious setback to his recovery.

Think it was said after the match he had cramp in both legs !

Agreed. Thought he did really well today, pleased tor him and hope it was just cramp.

Not many teams in the PL will have a 4th choice CB as good as Adam.

If he had a bad game there would be lots of replies here cursing him. Very astute performance tonight, particularly after a few previous errors and the fact he was fast tracked back in.👏
Lads in front of me were giving him pelters for a crap pass to JVPH… it was Gross 🙄

I would have to respectfully disagree with this - he’s a very good player with the ball at his feet, indeed this was the precise reason why Potter ended the career of a great club servant Duffy because Adam had this in his locker. The level is so high with the likes of Dunky JP and Igor he sometimes looks like he doesn’t belong in that company but I think he does. He has two issues tho, the panicky temperament rick (always had it hence why some discribed him as Potter’s love child given the amount of times Potter ignored it) and his acceleration over short distances gets cruelly exposed at times by quick forwards.

But calm in possession? Yes he passes that test usually pretty well

I’ll hold my hands up, I inwardly groaned when I saw he was starting, but fair play, he was excellent. As much as I dislike the London Stadium (along with about 60k WHU fans it would seem) it does give a different viewing perspective and from my position somewhere high up in Essex you could see our patterns of play and Webster fitted right in.

Apart from one dreadful pass that nearly cost us he stood up and was counted today.

JPvH man of the match though.

Long term he’s not a De Zerbi player though. That pass he missed was a regulation five yarder when he was pushed up into right midfield.

As an aside, I was suffering from terrible cramp when driving (in my hands), and in my legs whenever I attempted a 'sudden manouvre'. On one occasion this resulted in 'coitus interruptus' (not when I was driving, obviously). FFS. OK I'm a bit old but....nobody wants that. I have been taking potassium supplements since last February and I NEVER get cramp now. Never. Fact.

Inwardly groaned ?? Fair play for owning up.

I dunno who you'd have rather have seen deemed fit to start at CB with JPvH. Personally I was just delighted and relieved that he made it, and he did not let us down. He saved us from an almighty disjointed headache tonight, I bet he was the first player RDZ hugged in the dressing room afterwards.

Thought he had a great considering it was his first game back after a long injury away.

The team did great stopping Westham counter attacks at source and not giving away silly free kicks for JWP to do his thing.

Not many scary moments I can remember.

Well done Adam 👍
