Well, I am stunned both by the number of 3s and 4s but more stunned by the admittance of cheating! Surely getting any hints, tips or pointers is against the moral code?!

Indeed but it is too tempting for some to not lose that streak. It's only fun - take a 7 and get it back during the week. I've had my fair quota of 7s. It's not a real issue.

Agreed but I was completely stumped and would have had to wait until tomorrow to find out the answer, so no shame from me for giving up and going looking for the answer. I abhor cheating but admitting you had to is acceptable no?
I am not in a competition, if I had been of course I would have just accepted a fail and if I could have thought of a single word after go three I would have used it and any others, but basically I just gave up and went looking.
Others may have done the same but just not admitted to it of course
@Thunder Bolt and myself are at least honest!

Well that was fun...not. Even after throwing guess 5 to try and get more letters, I then spend 10 minutes putting in random 'Not in word list' letters until I stumbled on it by luck.

I admit to eliminating two words after my 3rd go by checking whether they had been used before (they had). I don't apologize for that.

I guess was just a bit surprised you still put 4/6 (and TB 5/6) instead of void/fail. I was a 5/6 without any help and hadn't heard of the word for the record.
Whilst on this sort of subject I also don't get the keeping of lists of previous correct words as it’s a distinct advantage if you’ve been playing a long time or worse still, look up all previous right answers. But each to their own!

I put in the only word that came up on word finder as I had never heard the word and was sceptical that it would work! It did so it shows a four but we all know I actually failed
I keep no record of previous words and I never check to see if they’ve been used before, that is, as you suggest, also bordering on cheating. Just imo
Wow, been away for a few days, started the JAZZY day but never finished it and I'm wondering what my score might have been - got to attempt 3 with 3 known letters, only back on it today and managed this:

No wonder my average is so poor. I have just been randomly guessing 5 letter words. And sometimes not even 5 letters.
