The Special One looks to win the second leg in an unlikely treble, having won the Europa Conference League with Roma last season.

8pm tonight for those still clinging onto the last knockings of the 2022/23 season.

I was so desperate for some footy that when I spotted this on the Beeb web page yesterday I immediately txted Bob the retired Social Worker to make sure the silly sod didn't arrange to go down the pub or watch some dreary documentary on blues legend, Blind Lemon Shandy Levine tonight.

Come on Seville!

I've watched Servilla live this season. They are, in comparison to us, pretty bad. The fact they've reached the final makes me very optimistic for our chances next year. They are a fantastic club though. Their anthem, which they play pre-match, is epic.

Sevilla in the Europa League are the equivalent of Real Madrid in Champions League, it's basically their cup no matter how bad they do during the season. Of course they can be beaten but it's not like Roma play amazing football either. The thing is for example you'd struggle a bit against a Mourinho-type team, no matter how dreadful to watch their football is.

I want Sevilla to win purely for petty reasons as it's often the case between big Serie A clubs in Europe, but Sevilla were proper ****s against us in the semifinal, forcibly timewasting to death for all of extra time (though that was also the ref's fault obviously.) But yeah, hoping for a boring 7th EL title for them Spaniards so that Romans can't taunt us with winning it.

Well this comes as an enormous shock, for a team formerly managed by Aston Villa's Unai Emery.

This is Jose Maria Cruz, CEO of the Spanish side. He is basically The 'Barber' of Seville.

As a historian I LOVE that Roma have SPQR as their sponsor.

Nothing spent in Serie A compared to the Prem yet 5 Italian teams in the semis of the 3 euro competitions and only two from the Prem.
