The impending departure of Alexis means we've lost one of the best penalty-takers in the business, so who will fill his boots next year?

Yes, we had some decent penalties in the FA Cup Semi-Final but I don't see any of them being our regular taker, nor can I see Pascal Gross taking them as he was never that convincing in the role when he used to do it.

Likewise Danny Welbeck.

What I can see is Julio Enciso desperately trying to grab the ball every time we get one, doubtless causing a rumpus with whoever should be taking it.

Solly March need not apply.

Milner is a very reliable penalty taker. Probably him, if he’s on the pitch. Otherwise, hopefully Evan.

This is the issue. He won't be a regular starter, likewise Undav.

I'm suddenly thinking Jason Steele might be an option...

*edit* Probably exclude all those pesky kids also, the urge to get a bit cocky will be overwhelming. Macca has laid down the blueprint for the perfick pen = power + accuracy. Reckon that narrows his successor down to either Groß or Ferguson

Ferguson. So long as he is on target, he doesn't need to send the keeper the wrong way or anything like that - the pace at which he hits the ball will simply take the keeper into the net with it.

All our semi final penalties, bar Sollys miss, were brilliant. So I think we’d be fine for potential takers.

Not Gross. His run-up is always too shot and he's missed a few already.
