Just occasionally imho this excellent thread needs jerking out of its minor key, sixth form navel gazing with a bit of unashamed sixties retro garage crash so turn the volume up everyone .......

Its got wellingtons and recorders and it makes me happy every time I watch it.

The correct answer, my most seen band so seen many variations of this, at the Glasgow Hydro with full orchestra and they all invaded the stage was a great one. I have only been up once in all that time at Bexhill De La War wonderful times. 2 superb albums out in as many years and this tracks up there with the best.

A band I always love but haven't explored as much as I should. I am going to have a dive today. Any pointers of where to start? Love the song you posted.

I had the immense pleasure of seeing the wonderful Robert Forster at Komedia last night and he played a few of my favourite songs of all time.

The best song was 'Rock And Roll Friend' or 'Spring Rain' but my favourite of the night was this one.

One of the best voices in metal/rock belonging to one of the most gentle men in the business. And I do think a lot of his live versions are better than his album versions.
