The thing is that we don’t need him this season. Best rest him and make sure he is 100% fit for the 2023/4 season.

Sorry but that's nonsense. We need him back this season. Our midfield is picking itself. Games are coming thick and fast after the break. He would be an excellent addition right now

Could he be Caicedo’s replacement if he does go in the summer? He seems very versatile and has always impressed in the games he’s played.
Caicedo is not easily replaceable as his main asset is his ball-winning (and, as a consequence, the number of free-kicks he concedes - 47 so far this season, second most in PL - and yellow cards he accumulates); I don't think Brighton have ever had a more accomplished player in this regard.

He can pass too, off course...

I didn't add the oh, it was great for a Brighton player to score for the sake of Dunk March White and Tomori who brighton links stop them being picked
So, your saying Tomori doesn’t get picked for England because he was once on loan to Brighton? ???

What a load of bollocks.

I still seriously doubt we'll get him on the pitch this season. After an injury like that the idea of rushing him back as we need him due to the number of games doesn't seem like the sort of thing we would do and to me it seems unlikely that he would be at anything like his best level. That's why I think we should concentrate on getting him a good pre season and he can hit the ground running for the start of next season.

I would like to be wrong, I just don't see us taking the risk.

Oh and the mentions of him being a Caicedo replacement, seem wide of the mark to me. He has loads more in common with MacAllister in his playing style.

And here is the image. He certainly looks more match ready than the guy in blue!

I think we’ll surely get an up and coming DM in the summer. We’ve then got the likes of Moder, Ayari and Alzate for RDZ to examine over the summer in terms of replacing Mac. Keeping Lallana another year is also beneficial. However, will Gilmour be able to push on?

I thought the same but go back a page or 2 and look at his Albion highlights.

When he was really in his stride (away at OT on that Thursday night springs to mind) he was all over the place.
I'll hazard a guess RDZ can't wait to have him back at full speed.

They obviously won't rush him back, but if he's running on grass and kicking a ball he won't be far off. If he's ready to play in a month or so they won't hold him back until next season out of fear of him getting injured again...

Agreed. Only a couple of months of this season lewft now anyway, and to get him up to speed and match fit will take up most of that time.

The Albion have moved on massively since he has been sidelined though, and even when fully fit, is he up to the Caicedo/MacAllister level? l'm not so sure.

Most Polish fans I know are expecting the national team to be built round him. They rate him that highly out there. Rightly or wrongly, they also suggest that his rehab would have been quicker out there than in the UK. They claim that their sports science and medical back-up is superior. Personally, I have no evidence, one way or the other.
