A bit antagonistic and a sign of what refs have to put up with. Warren and Johnny thought it was a definite yellow if that helps at all. I haven’t seen it yet but I have seen refs slated for being over officious with cards and spoiling the flow of the game.

To think we'll lose RDZ as a result of this guys incompetence. I hate having a go at refs, but seriously that decision last night was inexplicable and I suspect the assessor will be having a word with him today.
The standard of officiating is very poor in the Premier League right and that goes for those who have the benefit of watching the replays in Stockley Park. I am not sure what can be done about it.

Bad referees are part and parcel of football. That we understand. But the problem is that it goes further than bad decision making, which I think in the cold light of day, we generally accept.
The problem is the refs we see, just don’t have the correct personal characteristics to be ref’s. They are too weak, they look like they are living their lives in fear. The decision yesterday was a great example.
Now Brighton V Palace are two comparable size clubs, but the real problem with having referees with these characteristics, is that when the match is high profile club v lower profile club, the decision making is laughably biased. The ref’s very much come across like success for them is to not have Klopp or Conte slate them by name on match of the day or in the papers. They are not judging success by, “are they officiating the game correctly”, at least on a subconscious level.
Then you layer on the farcical interventions by VAR, and you arrive at the current totally unsatisfactory situation.

The officials aren't there to ensure that it's a good or flowing game, they are there to apply the laws fairly and robustly; their sole purpose is to be the arbiters of fair play and they should do so "without fear or favour".

I've seen bananas that were less yellow than that.
The tackles from Doucouré last night are the perfect examples of two deserved yellows leading to a red. They should be shown to refs as part their training as an example of what not to do.
The player seemed determined to get sent off, but the ref was not having any of it. So it was no surprise that Viera pulled him off at half time.

Given the Fabinho/ Ferguson incident, I'm starting to wonder exactly what an opponent has to do to get sent off at the Amex.

Which is exactly why we have to make sure we highlight this ridiculous decision. Just realised he then went on to make a third bad foul - utterly unreal…According to a couple of posters recently……we only complain about the ref when we lose.
