Additionally, you can tell a lot of those advocating 'getting rid' for £50m have never played as a keeper or really appreciated the importance of the 'sweeper keeper' role.

The pressure Sanchez operates under in the current system is something very, very few goalkeepers are capable of doing. No way we will let him go for that.

So Sanchez for 50 million. Caicedo for 90 million. Alexis for 80 million and mitoma for 50 million. 270 million for us to buy every other wonderkid and go on our European adventure. Who else are we selling?
Just my opinion but think Mitoma should be up there with Caicedo and Macallister price wise. For me he is one of the big reasons for our xG and actual goals reaching some sort of parity.

As PL clubs wrestle more and more control of their PR and news feeds, it’s become clear to everyone the number of speculative stories from ‘journos’ is going through the roof. The role of the sports journo is nearly redundant as most exclusives are either leaked by the clubs, the agents or the players/their families.

I saw this in the Mail yesterday:

BREAKING: Chelsea Show Zero Interest In Signing Denis Undav.

And in the Sun…

EXCLUSIVE: No Link Whatsoever Between Newcastle Buying Wellbeck.

He's worth more. If he keeps this form up he's one of the best wingers in the world at the moment. 100m minimum.

I reckon this is pretty much nailed on that he'll go to Chelsea once they hit our price tag, due to the link he has with Ben Roberts and their need for a decent goalkeeper. Apparently he was devastated when BR left the club with the other snakes. He always seems pretty aloof to me and reckon he's the type to kick off to try and force a move through.

I say it how I see it !! I think some of our players like maccalister are overrated. But mitoma is the real deal IMHO
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::LOL::LOL:

Er, did you watch the World Cup Final?

Our Argentine midfielder absolutely RAN the first hour of the game! His first appearance back in our stripes saw him score two at Middlsbrough and one was absolutely sublime. Of course he's not overrated.

MacA is the archetypal centre midfielder that gels everything together, allowing forwards to do their stuff, relentlessly tackling, covering danger, setting up scorers/game-changers. Under the radar to those with eyes only on forwards. Most good teams have one.

Worth his weight in gold. Sorely missed when not playing.

Totally agree but that's one game. With Messi by his side.

Let's see when he moves to a big boy whether he's got the character and skill to do it week in week out. After all didn't we all think Cuccu and biss would be incredible after moving on.

He was brilliant in every WC game he played.

No I didn’t.

He was better than Messi that day, and up against France's midfield. It's not like he was a passenger in Man City's midfield up against Barnsley in a cup game.

And no, we didn't all think Cucu and Biss would be incredible when they moved on. Especially Bissouma - he took 18 months to get up to speed at the Albion.

To be fair, the same can often be said for Lallana. Who is worth a fraction of Ali Mac's value.

I used to regularly drive past Stamford Bridge and I reckoned he'd be shitehouse.

Maccer was also gash for a lot of his time at Albion .... So much so that he was on the verge of leaving before the Everton away game last season.

Look back at old threads .... He was hardly a gauranteed starter until end of last season. Case in point he was on bench for last game at selhurst

Neither he nor Bissouma were ever "gash". He took time to settle, yes, but anyway you're now moving the goalposts.

You said we all thought Bissouma would be incredible after moving on. That simply isn't true. I and others thought he'd take time to adapt at a new club and would need game time to do that, which clearly wasn't going to come as easily as it did here. If he doesn't play, he doesn't improve. IMO it's more likely he'll be sold to a French club than kick on to be an outstanding Spurs player.
