25 years ago since he did the dirty and we lost the Goldstone. Time to let it rest, anger can rebound on you if you aren't careful.
Bollocks, never let it rest, never let it be forgotten what those 3 ****s did to our club.

On a personal level they robbed my Grandad of going to games in the final years of his life. He'd worked for the club in various roles since the 1950s and finally retired in about 1993. He was given a life season ticket as a thank you but after 2 seasons he was told by Bellotti that he'd had it long enough. He never went to another game, and died while the club were still in exile at Gillingham, but whenever i went to see him we'd talk nothing but Brighton, even when we were at the bottom of league and all was looking lost he wanted all the details of games etc. What was this player or that player like. His eyes lit up whenever he talked about the club. I'm sure there are 100s of other similar stories out there.

Whatever crap Bill Archer is going through now is just deserts in my opinion.

I don’t subscribe to the “all anger is toxic” idea.

Some anger is healthy, natural and justified. For me, this is one of those cases.

Given that we currently have a government working much the same wheeze on a national scale, I agree with those who feel that he’s a symptom of something rotten in our society.

Agreed. It’s a collective consciousness issue we have in society.
Blaming that all on a few people is just stupid. We’ve all been there though.

No, not at all. I’m actually very hateful and bitter. I can’t let go of people who hurt my feelings and lifestyle. I’m still very bitter about Scott McGleash’s goal celebration not to mention Dean Hammond’s goal celebration against us for Southampton!

I was actually just posting a Shakespeare quote
Me as well brother. Me as well.

Time to let go
Me thinks you may have misread the room old fella.

Some can forgive and some can forget, a very few can both forgive and forget.
But what that bloke [and his two chums] did to OUR club, is more a case of "lest we forget".

Build a bonfire still lives strong in the minds of some of us old contemptibles ....
I can neither forgive nor forget that bastard and I suspect there are a fair few that also hold the same view too.

There are more important things in life than this shit. This is ancient history and it’s just football. If people want to harbour this stuff then fill your boots but it really isn’t relevant in 2023.

Who cares about that smalltown guy anymore? Archer made his shitty little poundshop profit. The Albion made it to another planet entirely

Too right, should never let it go. It could be someone elses club tomorrow

And if it happens to another club, what are those who aren’t letting go of what happened to us 26 years ago going to do exactly?

Nothing?

You can’t expect all to remain the same by changing one part. There is a strong argument that a move was inevitable, regardless of ownership. There used to be constant talk of a move to Waterhall. Hillsborough accelerated the process. I loved the Goldstone as much as anybody and if people want to cling on to their anger that’s nothing to do with me. I’m just saying that I’m not angry about it and I’m fine with that.

It was meant slightly tounge in cheek, would have been nice to see it redeveloped however,

Dean Hammond’s goal celebration will never be forgotten by us 😡😡😡😡
Weirdly now you’ve said it I can remember it - cupping ear all the way along south stand… yet when he re-signed for us i genuinely don’t remember thinking about it or much talk of it.
