Indeed. Second half descended into an attack v defence training session as W&F were down to ten, but a great goal in injury time to make it 5-0.
I committed the cardinal sin of leaving on 91 minutes. Literally stepped out of the pan to the sound of cheers. The Rooks looked pretty impressive even before the sending off.

With the additions of Hyde and Gondoh, and the return of Champo and Young there's a streak of real quality through this Rooks side. Definitely getting there form wise.

Another good point on the road last night for Torquay against Woking, Tope Fadahunsi with the goal who was playing for Loughborough University last season against Littlehampton. A bit more solidity and they will have a good go at staying up, finally starting to look a bit more clearer at the bottom of the conference, who has a chance of staying up. Off to Burgess Hill tonight to watch the U21s in the BIG sussex senior cup tie against Brighton. Away game in Littlehampton up for grabs, who wouldn't want that.

Another fine performance, clean sheet and 3 points last night for Worthing at Dover.
Creative and clinical going forward and solid and organised in defence. Kane Wills ran the game from centre midfield and scored a fine opening goal. Ollie Pearce and Callum Kealy with the others.
13 points from 15 in January and plenty of strength in depth throughout the squad.
Off to Burgess Hill tonight and then Tonbridge v Worthing on Saturday.

Another late win for Leiston v Ilkeston who had Chris O'Grady & Leroy Lita in their team . O'Grady came on in the 78th minute, we struck in the 94th with a stunning freekick. The win keeps us in 2nd place,6 points behind Tamworth with 3 games in hand .

Lewes beat Kingstonian 3-0. Good performance, against limited team but with a keeper who's always excellent. Had a chat in a pub after with some Kingstonian fans who seemed very nice and disappointed in their season, would be a shame if they went down

Disappointing afternoon yesterday for Worthing away at Tonbridge.
Game of few clear chances, Worthing deservedly in front at half time, Kane Wills with the goal.
Tonbridge pressed higher up the pitch after the break and a well struck volley from 25 yards brought them level.
Ollie Pearce was denied twice in quick succession before Tonbridge scored another well taken goal to go ahead.
Despite having 15ish minutes to find an equaliser Worthing were kept out comfortably by the home side and drop to 5th.

Perhaps a blessing in disguise though?

Worthing have been on fire since the turn of the year but a huge factor for the ongoing progress of the club is managing fan expectation.

Don't get me wrong I'd love them to go up, and think they can but everything needs to be right both on and off the pitch so its a sustained sucess, a few years ago now but going up to the Conference argubly 'f*****' both Lewes and Eastbourne Borough for a number of seasons after.

Heading to AFC Uckfield Town to get the ground ticked off (Number 236), a weekend off football for me this week means I'm going to try sneak in a Thursday game at Leatherhead, as well as the U21s against Sparta Prague.

Certainly a lot needs to happen off the pitch to stay at the current level. I believe capacity has to be 3000 by the end of March with more seats added to be able to participate in a possible playoff push this season. Capacity has to be 4000 in the National League.

On the pitch, after speaking to Hinsh, the club are certainly aiming for a second successive promotion. The list of problems that will arise from this scenario will be lengthy though especially with the increased away followings that would descend on Woodside and would require a lot of planning and considerable expense.

This season has really hit home how limited Woodside is for any major expansion. I've visited clubs that have bigger car parks than the current footprint of Woodside Road!!!
