Our recruiting process takes time. This could be the reason.

Just seen another clip from after the game where RDZ says we need players in specific positions and he then repeats we need ‘new players for sure’. It’s now or never; we need to back this man in the next couple of days. In Tony we trust but he and we have never been in this scenario before, I just pray he makes the right calls.

That is good to hear. Your posts do seem strangely negative and since we've had plenty of Palace fans here before (pretending to be Brighton fans) people get suspicious. What do you think of Palace?

Albion are chasing a CB - well known to RDZ - who could be a record fee. And are turning down ridiculous offers for one of our best players. They’ve also bought 3 young players this window - one for £10m - to join the 20 or so others on loan and the other teenagers coming through the academy - a strategy that’s put us into the top 6 and 5th round of the cup. Will that do ?
It really goes without saying that the club would love to make more good signings if they can, but if the right player isn't available at the right price, we don't want to just waste money for the sake of it. And as has been mentioned above, trying to keep Caicedo is also backing the manager.
I’m sure that is the preferred plan for MC.
Clearly not for RDZ. Can’t speak for other posters but my comments on this thread are based purely on the verbatim words of the manager who has said we need players in specific positions and he has been clear with Tony Bloom on this. If you have an issue with RDZ comments then fine but we didn’t make them up.

Yes. I’ve read them. for example - I expect he said - I want a CB , that chap from Shakhtar- and all reports suggest that this is ongoing. Hence - manager being backed.
And rightly he’s said he’d need a replacement for Caicedo. Except club insist they’re not selling him. Hence - manager being backed.
Keeping caicedo could cost Bloom a fortune - millions (he could get injured, lose form, etc) . I can’t think of a more significant way of backing your coach ?

As much as the OP sounds like a Palace fan, Chailey is a barberbot. Cant see his posts as I have him on ignore, but it's pretty damn clear that wherever he pops up it is in response to any potential challenge to the club, however slight, rational or justified

A lot rides on the severity of Ferguson’s injury, if it’s ‘months’ then we should be looking for a loan IMO, we can’t go into what could be an unbelievable 2nd half of this season with only Welbeck and Undav and our false 9 option gone to Arsenal.
