Almería
"It was beautifully taken by Karou Mitoma, a footballer who is basically made of feathers, dandelion spurs and some kind of super-light high-tensile alien metal. In the tiniest of spaces, with the ball bouncing up like a balloon, Mitoma shifted his feet, leant inside, flicked the ball up off his right foot, delicately back-spun, hanging in the air like some divine orb, then propelled it with thrilling precision off the same foot into the far corner."

I guess the Caceido drama and lack of signings aren’t very pleasing.
I don't think his demeanour was anything to do with that.

The guy has *ridiculously* high standards. He said in the brief interview at half time that he wasn't happy with the performance and again in his post-match comments. Yes, they won the game, but he gets so pissed off with errors/mistakes and he can't hide it.

I was half expecting him to bring up the Charlton game again

RDZ didn’t celebrate like he normally does, he didn’t appear to be very happy today.
He'd heard that Swansman had put in a transfer request to Bozza.

"I spoke to him like a step-father, I know Graham is your real dad but stay longer and see what a great family we could be"

Wish people stop raving about it.

Welbeck and Mac both scored better goals this month alone.

Mitoma’s may also be world class, but it’s standard stuff at the Albion. And against Leicester he only beat 3 men and curled in from 20 yards and again, people go completely over the top.

Nothing to see here basically.

Maybe mentioned already, but it was a brilliant bit of blocking by Undav to give Mitoma the space. The look on his face during the celebrations says it all. Well done lad.

"For Brighton there were some alluring early glimpses of Mitoma, veering around Trent Alexander-Arnold like the skating rink pro skirting his way past some gawping rail-clutcher. Mitoma doesn’t really run. He glides, he skates, he dusts the ground. A little later he made Joe Gomez fall over just by shifting his hips between strides to make space for a shot."

I love Barney Ronay's writing.

Happy to see RDZ downcast after a win.
Totally sidesteps the usual cliche from managers, that winning when playing poorly is the sign of a good team. Instead says the team can play much better.

A very good balance between praising and challenging players and the team.
