“because Brighton are not engaging or providing them or suitors with a specific number. Brighton have also told #AFC directly the player isn’t for sale.”

Perhaps they need to look at the last bit to understand the first
Yes, but why haven't they given a figure! It's completely unreasonable.

I agree with your sentiments but don’t think we can entirely blame the agents though - the players aren’t daft, they usually know their skill level and what Clubs might be interested in them (probably long before we do) so are turned by the Agent’s promises of higher wages and add ons - the Club knows the agents’ business is talking players up and ‘creating a fertile market’ for their clients - so the Club benefits from the increased market value of a player as a result of the agents‘ manipulation of the market, reinforced by the Club stating the player is not for sale . The Club doesn’t have to sell, the player doesn’t have to move but at the end of the day, if the price is right and the player wants to go, it’s sound business for everyone involved.

Based on what? 🤷‍♂️ @Justice - please correct your earlier post where you quote me (twice) - you attributed a post to Swansman that was actually mine!

We have talent scouts all over the world, that and TB’s analytics- the next ‘Mitoma’ is more than likely already within TB’s radar - don’t forget, Mitoma didnt just fall into Brighton’s first 11, he was on loan for a year at USG. (And just because a player has not already been ‘discovered’ doesn’t mean to say he’s not out there 😉) .
Yeh agreed. Agents, players and greedy ‘big’ clubs are all horrible. It would be good business on our terms, at the right time, without having lost 10+ staff and players in 6 months… too much

6 games is not a big enough sample size to make any meaningful comparison. If Potter had stayed we would not now have a 2.16 average. If the comparison has to be with the same squad then no non subjective comparison can be made.

Imagine you had a friend whose girlfriend dumped him for a richer man. And then your friend got a new girlfriend and said “my new girlfriend’s so much better than my old girlfriend” would you disagree with them?
Which one has the fart scented candles?

People refusing to give a figure for something they have already stated they don't want to sell, it's so unfair :tantrum:
That daily mail journo is fairly reliable tbf
The DM dwayne ? you've gone right down in my estimation (from a very low starting point)

Nah I like to give people answers.
If I say something good about RDZ, I get half a dozen comments about "have you finally given up on Graham? Surely you can see RDZ is much better than Graham? Do you still love Graham?"
If I say something that indicates RDZ might not be a 100% flawless God in every possible scenario, I get half a dozen "You hate RDZ because you love GP, omg why don't you f*** off to The Shed End to your beloved Potter" and so forth.

But yeah I could probably do better to help myself avoiding replying on posts from my stalkers (like you).
It may be illogical to you but have you considered that your open devotion to GP it might rankle a little that after you supported his move to Chelsea people get a little tetchy over you criticising RDZ?

Why would Albion name a price for something they don’t want to sell? Basic. Up to the buyer to pique the club’s interest. As for the bit about the price dropping, if we qualify for Europe thanks partly to Caicedo, are we really going to care if we get £20m less? In fact, I’m sure we’d be very willing to accept less in the summer than what we’d want now and always have been. It’s strange how so few of these outside commenters can grasp that there’s more to this than just money, and also seem to think #teamslikebrighton should meekly accept their place in a pre-defined pecking order. Baffling. We’re in the top 6 and want to remain there. Really not difficult to understand.

That journo is a massive cock. Would love to see him get a slap. He knows f*** all.

Good for you, but as I said, back in the real world. He's looking out for his family and probably extended family. Something that, for example, Enoch can't now do to the extent he would have done had he still be playing.

As for nurturing, he hasn't even been with us two years. You make it sound like we've had him since he was 14 and have developed him over a long period of time.

Im sure he can look after his family with close to £30,000 a week and wait another 6 months before moving on.

Unfortunately I believe MC will go this window. TB and PB and especially RDZ will not want this dragging on til June. We got told Cucurella will not be sold in last window but he was. The timing is crap and the way Caicedo has been advised is nothing short of Shambolic...but we knew he would be off come the summer anyway. I actually thought after reading another thread that I wish we were selling to City and somehow they would throw in Phillips as a loan until the end of season...but that would be too unrealistic! 75M is a good price but we won't find a fit between now and Tuesday. Maybe it's time for Gimour to shine and Fancundo to hurry up and get fit and hope RDZ to work a bit more of his Latin magic. Goodbye Moises, good luck and well done for making your two Bob agents a little bit richer when they've made you look like a bit of a chump!

So our two years tracking him and courting him for a possible move to us was for nothing , all the while several other teams including United gave up on him while we sent people over to talk about his future and assure his family we`d take care of him was worth nothing to you ? .

Then we brought him and some of his family to Brighton and found a home for him and again assured his family he would be looked after . We trained him looked after his health through diet and training , all the time making sure he had Spanish speakers around to help him while teaching him English .

Then after a lot of good coaches helped him progress and loaned him to Beerschot after which we involved him in the 1st team for which he was a permanent fixture . But apparently greed took over and he wanted to sell the club that had done all this for him , and gave him the chance not even Utd would down the road for a quick payday .

He should have done the decent thing and waited until summer for his move with our blessings , instead he would rather see the Albion`s best EVER season in their history go down the shitter for a payday with a 5th rate agent to a 6th rate team .

No your right , what have we done for him :tosser:
I agree with most of that but our return for what we did is in the transfer profit

I would be interesting to know how much money clubs invest in players. Especially ones that come from overseas and need extra help settling in.

Training, Dr's, specialised diets, schooling in some cases and so on much cost a fortune over the years. Players obviously make the club money too via success and merch but clubs must sink a lot of money into players still.
