Heads up for Mamas and Papas and Fleetwood Mac fans

Sky Arts is showing Discovering the Mamas and Papas at 1900, Fleetwood Mac Videos at 1930 and 2004 concert in Boston 2004 at 2000

For those even older than me - Tommy Steele - The Great Entertainer is on Channel 5 at 2200.

Channel 5 at 2330 for a couple of hours popular music of the 70s

BBC 4 has some Old TOTP footage from the late 70s and 90s. Phil Cunningham at 2100, Transatlantic Sessions with Folk musicians at 2230, Country Music at 2300 and the Arctic Monkeys at Glastonbury in 2013 at Midnight

Better still for all us old rockers bring back the Radio 1 The Friday Rock Show. Used to love that with Tommy Vance:rock:
OGWT was my favourite ever music programme on TV. Alan Freeman on the radio on a Saturday (?) was great too

I spent a years pocket money in the hi-fi shop last Friday . . . I have been sitting in the music room listening to inyl all week . . . .got another 5-600 albums to go through . . . No time for tv!

Much underloved.
I had no idea that John Phillips was a control freak or that the band were so dysfunctional after their initial success…or that Michelle Phillips was a bit of a slag….or a child of free love in the Sixties :smile:

They released some very iconic music though

Yes it’s rather an odd dynamic in the band, it has to be said!
