[Albion] Albion Investment - Large Minority stake

In light of the two threads that have appeared within the last 24 hours ; https://tinyurl.com/Big-Six-tore-apart-Southampton and ; https://tinyurl.com/Albion-Players-Wages
it seems an appropriate juncture to air a consideration that by attracting an outside minority investment to enable a structure of increased wages would seem the most obvious way to restrict the repetitive pillaging of our playing stars and to smash through the barrier of the Top 6/7 nexus.
Certainly not including the likes of Middle-Eastern blood money or Russian Oligarchs, more along the lines of a multi-national conglomerates such as Amazon, McDonalds or preferably a much deeper investment by Amex etc..,

Call me unambitious but we finished in the top 10 for the first time last year and look to be doing so again this year (for now) so would prefer we keep things ticking along as is for a while.

Whatever we're doing is working for us. Why upset the apple cart?

Unkie Tony has spent 15 years and oodles of wedge (sorry of my fiscal analysis is a little too high brow) getting to this position, handing a part of it over to McDonald's seems counterintuitive.

TB has always made clear that the aim of the club is to be self.sufficient - i.e. players sales balance the books. Why on earth put that model at risk with outside investment and bring the possibilty of the bad old days returning ? It's an absolute no from me.

You'd have to ask 'what's in it for them?' We've got an organisation that doesn't turn a profit, you'd be increasing its operating costs (wages), and the control would rest with TB.

I do agree that this could be a good time to invest in the club. I've mentioned it before, but the only investor that really makes sense is TB himself.

No. The likes of City, Chelsea and now Newcastle have operated under the premise that it didn't matter how much they spent, the goal was on field success, and money was there to burn. That's not what investors would want.

Tony hasn't demanded interest on his loans so we got very lucky. I don't want to change that.

Let's just enjoy the fact that we're not currently in a relegation scrap and that we're playing exciting football and we have a chance in all games. We don't need to finish in the top group for the journey to be enjoyable.

Exactly. I'm also unsure whether he would appreciate some stranger on some forum suggesting he sells some of his assets.

Would the OP mind if we asked him if he should sell a share of his house, car etc?

It’s a big no from me.

All the time Tony is happy with how things are going, I don’t see any reason why any (other) Albion fan should want the structure to change.

We are so lucky to have Tony Bloom. We shouldn’t wish to spoil what is giving us the best days in the club’s history.

Why can’t everyone just sit back and enjoy it. I know I am. I’ve waited 50 years for this sort of success for my club. The last thing I want is some shareholding company wanting a return on their investment!
