Interesting article on the pint chucking culture. For full disclosure I’m not a fan, it all looks a bit trying too hard, look at us going ker-ray-zee. The comment about the fans going mental over the third goal in a dead rubber sums it up.

People that chuck pints in the air are just total copy cat bellends. Don’t know when it started, but it’s now here to stay. Which is why we can’t have a drink in the stands or within sight of the pitch. Ever. Especially because some total animals will also piss in their empty pint glasses and chuck those too.

They’d wish they hadn’t started if I luzzed a jet black sticky syrupy dense 12% imperial stout, with a pretentious name, over their nice England shirt.

The Imperial Stout would quite likely cost as much as their tops HT.

I’m pretty sure luzzing beer wasn’t the reason we can‘t have a drink in the stands or within sight of the pitch, it was more about luzzing punches. :)

Having said that I agree that those who chuck beer are twats.

I'm sure a lot of venues are quite happy to see full pints luzzed in the air as it means they will need replacing so there's bucks to be made.

Wouldn't have been a problem for us...

...won't be a problem at Stamford Bridge.

It was probably me..... I was just carrying four pints across the room when Shearer scored against the Germans in 1996. Lost the lot of them in the general melee (mostly over others jumping into me). I was bloody annoyed to be honest, I was a student at the time - so four pints was quite a lot to lose.

Just because it looks like beer (and was probably beer once) is being luzzed in the air at a packed open air event, it doesn’t mean it is beer. I’m sure I don’t need to get the chalk and blackboard out for this.

Edit: I’ve just seen post number 2
