Have the club said why these batteries cannot be taken inside? Seems to go against the supposed eco-friendly/sustainable messages they put out. Surely it can't be that they may be thrown at a player as these batteries are not cheap to replace.

Mr Barber would just have said the club has nothing to do with travel to and from the stadium. That’s despite them paying the travel companies the travel subsidy from our tickets, running the 2 park and ride sites, and organising all the stewards for the various parking options.
