[Albion] Carabao Cup Fourth Round: Charlton - 3rd allocation of tickets

scooter1

How soon is now?
Very easy and free to register on the Charlton ticket site.

https://booking.cafc.co.uk/en-GB/events/charlton athletic v brighton - hove albion/2022-12-21_19.45/the valley?hallmap

The blocks in the West Stand nearest to the away end are unlikely to have many Charlton fans in. Could be a bit like Fulham in terms of hundreds of away fans taking seats adjacent to the away end.

As we know from 1998, Charlton are very happy to welcome new members with BN postcodes.
This might end up being an option if we sell out before Weds am.
I recall from an FA Cup game away at Villa years ago, they got quite pissy about away fans in the home section, and contacted and cancelled tickets

In the three hours since sales opened we have sold about 1800 tickets, currently 1128 left across all blocks. Still looking ok for tomorrow
Any experts in away ticket sales got a view on how likely this is to get to Wednesday morning ...?

FWIW I guess that Charlton WON'T give us any more tickets. The costs of opening up another stand and all the hassle with policing outside the ground just doesn't seem anything like worth it to them for the benefit of more Albion fans getting to attend the match.

I'm sure someone will update with what's left tomorrow evening once the majority have purchased at tier 2.

Charlton fans not happy they are closing stands. Doesnt make financial sense if they are restricting no of away supporters

998 tickets left as of 10 mins ago. I reckon they'll all be gone by the end of tomorrow.
Think you may have miscalculated by 100, as i have just checked at 3.00 and found 1007 left. As to whether any will be left for wednesday rather depends on the size of the next tier but certainly cannot see them lasting beyond the first hour of that day if they get do there.
Seems unlikely now we will get any more for reasons already stated, the only thing i will say is that there were 230 seats in block SSJ which were not released for sale presumably because they are behind the central pillar maybe they will be sold as restricted view?

100 or 9?

Was thinking the same
So if i may be permitted to bore you rigid with an explanation, here it is - Basically it is all about the time factor, i had checked how many tickets were left at 12 noon and it was 1148. I then saw matski_98 had posted a count which he said he did at about 1.30 which he said meant 998 left. This surprised me as i was not expecting it to be as low as that at that time so i did another count just after 3.00 and it was 1007 thus i surmised that matski had made a slight error in his calculation and it should have been about 1078 at the time he did his count so he was about 100 out not just the 9 which was the actual difference between our counts but done at two different times.
I think that clears that up!
p.s the post by giraffe showing 985 at 4.30 also bears this out.

No chance this gets to Wednesday morning then, nightmare after going to Forest Green and Arsenal only to have no chance of going when we go deeper in the cup

Depending on how many people are in the second tier it might still make it. Will have a much better idea about 10 o'clock tomorrow.

I know and it’s wrong. This loyalty points thing needs to be per competition, my lad went to FG and Arsenal, yet he’s not tier 2 so no chance. Of course all the 2200 who purchased today might also have all gone to those 2 games but I highly flipping doubt it. What would be a fairer would be a ballot of the 6,300 who went to Arsenal, probably hassle for the club though so unlikely.

Think you’re right re hassle, it’s complex enough already……..…

How easy is the drive to Charlton from Brighton, it looks straightforward on MAPs but????
Done it a couple of times, usually 23/25/A2……..not much parking around the ground though. Last time I parked in one of the O2 car parks (check there’s nothing major on), easy stroll of about half an hour.
