There must be thousands – millions, even – just like him.

Some of them even later come out as gay!

WTF!! Is this bloke (the one being interviewed) pissed? Mentally impaired? Neanderthal? Or, just your token, totally thick, average red neck?

Or all of the above?
All of the above,. And sadly, there do seem to be a helluva lot of them in the US. Brain-dead Trump-worshippers.

The sort of people who will defend killing gays (or liberals and Leftists), but will oppose abortion on the grounds that "All human life is sacred."

People so woefully devoid of intelligence or logic cannot be reasoned with.

I was going to say that's unbelievable but it isn't, is it?
Not in the slightest – something something silent majority (or not so silent post 6th January 2021).

If you read through the Twitter thread, you will see that ‘dad’ was once on a US reality TV show called Intervention, about coming off crystal meth.

Looks like the intervention came too late. Don’t do drugs, kids.

Deeply conflicted individual - externalising his fractured psyche onto the world - more specifically scapegoating homosexuality as a self-serving rationale for his screwed up, sad life - reaffirmed and underpinned by an entrenched culture of fundamentalist religious fervour sweeping through small town America - Passed down from father to son. It is scary how much this has become a significant part of f***ed up conservative American thinking precipitated and further enabled by Trumpism. The ‘grieving’ father should be convicted of inciting homophobic hate crime and held partly legally culpable for his son’s actions. 😡

He's also an MMA fighter and porn star. Even has his own Wikipedia page:

Every country has their share of loonatics but we seem to have more than a fair share . The intolerance level in some parts of America , not usually the big cities but other parts can be off the scale if you’re not a white Christian straight person .

Very sad . The UK is much better in that respect .

This.

I won't click the links but I assume he was allowed to spout off without being given the Nicky Campbell treatment by the interviewer.

The irony is that it is apparently a constitutional right in America to spout vile hate and incite murder, it being an expression of "free speech".

Still in Brighton
Very bizarre. The bloke says he thought his son had committed suicide in 2016 (how could you get this wrong about your own son?). His son's defence team have said his son identifies as non-binary.

Brighton factually.....
To think we are all focused on Qatar at the moment, we should never lose sight of the FACT there are millions of religious, homophobic and racist people out here in the so called civilised world. To me this boils down to education, parenting, economic and social surroundings and at the forefront is the excuse of all this hatred under the umbrella of religion. Granted some religions are changing and embracing, change, and asking for forgiveness for past sexual, racial and homophobic misdemeanours.

Scary how some people use the excuse of religion for the hatred they harbour, they hark back to texts thousands of years old, altered countless times by those in power to drop and include texts and scriptures that suited their manifestos at certain periods in our history.

If their is a god, he is all loving, how else would it work, how else is hatred and bigotry on any level appealing to anyone, unless they want to control them.

Rant over

Happy Thanksgiving folks.

He’s seems out of his head and on something.
Crystal meth apparently. He's 48. Looks about 60.

Crystal Meth addicted, ex MMA fighter, ex Porn actor (who did gay porn apparently), promotes violence to his kid, probably has half a dozen guns, as a father. What could go wrong?

In the UK we, the tax payer, still hugely subsidize religious indoctrination of our children. Many of those religions are deeply homophobic.
