As Steve Bunce would say, I'm not being an after-timer. I never felt he really got us. He would praise the away following of course, but had a few digs at the Amex, culminating in the mountain out of a molehill game v Leeds.
I actually tweeted after a goal-less draw at home to WBA, when he'd made a snide remark about the crowd that it's never a good idea to criticize your own fans and it usually ends in tears.

I actually hoped he'd stay, but the way it all panned out he really went down in my estimation. His thin skin is being well & truly tested by the Chelsea media, not to mention the glare of the national big hitters. He became the darling of the hipsters, now the tabloids will eat him alive.

Should be able to click the link and it’ll open in your browser - no need to join twitter. Not an awful lot more there anyway though as the main link is paywalled

Just takes me to the actual Twitter entry - with "more below" still there, which doesn't link to anything. Never mind, if there's not much there - thanks anyway.

He managed us for over 100 games. What did he not get ? Did he really criticise the fans ? He praised them week in week out. And thousands sang Graham Potters blue and white army week in week out right to the last minute at Leicester. So what that for five minutes a few people are still clutching their pearls about Leeds. Most people really didn't care.

He was excellent for us, sure he pilfered a number of our backroom staff but who wouldn't?

This happens all over the place in the business environment. Why on earth would you not want to take your best employees with you?

If a business owner took a bit of a chance on you, gave you a very responsible job, backed and supported you when you were having a tough time (both at home and at work), gave you more or less everything you wanted, and celebrated with you after a big win, ……. Would you secretly connive with a competitor to join them for more money and to take (what you thought were) it’s best employees?

It often has a habit of coming back and biting you on the backside. Remember the saying about being nice to the people on the way up because you might need them on the way down!!

After beating Man Utd 4-0 and West Ham 3-1 at the Amex I was not thinking about the snide comments he made after drawing 0-0 with Leeds, you are right.
But in discussions where his Emotional Intelligence Degree comes up, it does come to mind.

He could get away with that with us, in a not unequal relationship, his stock was generally high in the industry due to the style of our play and alchemy with players.

He’ll never criticise the Chelsea supporters, possibly learning lessons from his irrational episode with us, but moreover this is his possibly his one chance at ‘the big time’. They’re unforgiving, entitled and aggressive.
