I don't feel any sympathy with him over Livramento - RH took a young kid and threw him into game after game, until he broke. RH has done this repeatedly with a load of young players.
And RH chose to sign (and play) Adams and Walcott.
Not sure he has any grounds to feel hard done by, TBH.

For me, this illustrates just how much patience Tony was prepared to give Potter earlier this year.
After the 6 game losing streak and the 0-0 home draw v Norwich that followed, it was 1 goal in 7 games.
Having drawn 3 of the previous 4 games before the losing streak, from 14th January to 2nd April we won 1 in 11 games.

The question I might ask Saints fans, is who in your squad is attracting serious interest from the big clubs? Even Ward-Prowse hasn't had a big move dangled at him.
If anything, they should have gone before. We'll see, but I suspect the manager here is not the problem.

But we were still 13th - it didn't require huge patience given we'd got the points on the board already and you could see in performances that we weren't far away from having a return to form and so it proved.
What it illustrates is that you have runs of form and good results, bad results, but it's important to judge the context of those against performances and where you are. From Boxing Day to the 2nd April we went from 9th to 13th - it hardly required zen like patience.

Yesterday Ward-Prowse had a free kick in the second half about 30 yards out. He hit is fairly tamely right in to the middle of the goal straight at the goalkeeper. I have been wondering recently whether Ralph has actually been the problem and his less than bubbly(!) persona has broought everyone else down. I had a text from a Saints supporting friend yesterday which said I feel like giving up - Ralph is bringing me down.
Not that I spend too much time worrying or thinking about Saints, but I have a wife who does. I am more thinking about the other end of the table!

Most championship strikers that are SIGNED by a PL club are a flop. It seems different if you are already at the promoted club like a Murray, Toney. Every window people want to sign championship rubbish especially the strikers who will turn out like Stuart Armstrong

These sacking are all pointless at the moment - No team is cut adrift at the bottom really and the bottom 10 could all potentially go down. This ultimately means that at least another 5 Managers will probably go before the end of the season when some sides do actually come under threat.
Hassenhuttle survived at least two 9-0 defeats and bounced back from them and kept them up. There are always gonna be about 14 teams in danger of going down every year and thats what makes the PL quite exciting to watch because the Relegation battle is often more exciting that the race for the Title.
Fans demand a turnover of Manager and a Turnover of players on a regular basis and Clubs appease them but both are remunerated well so it comes with the territory of the job. As the saying goes '' You don't get paid the ''Big Bucks'' for F#ck all

If RH chose to sign Che Adams and Adam Armstrong (no idea on the hierarchy of recruitment decision making at Saints) then he can't really cry about it when they are shit.
