One of the best games for sure. A former player said that if all the fans make enough noise at the Amex then the players cannot hear themselves talking that definitely happened in the 15 minutes today the atmosphere was electric.

For me it’s Doncaster. Was so giddy as I’d avoided the spurs pre season and the ground itself until then. And the final few minutes were amazing. Then Wigan.

Yesterday's win was one of the sweetest for sure, right up there with the St Patrick's Day Massacre. The 4-0 v ManU last season was one of the most gobsmackingly glorious in that it could easily have been 6 or 7 and that it reduced Ronaldo to laughing at his own teammates. And for historical context it has to be the Donny and Wigan games, no question. Personal favourite: 3-2 v ManCity, a return to something like post-covid normality, with the brucie bonus of a BDB winnah! So many great Amex memories, so many more still to come

My immediate post match reaction was that this was my new favourite ever.

Having calmed down a little it's up there alongside Doncaster, Wigan, Man U (4-0), Man City (3-2 and back at football) and the Paddy's Day massacre.

I suspect I could place these in any order in a "top six favourites" depending on how much I thought about it and how much I'd drunk.

I certainly enjoyed it a lot more than mullering Leicester and one of my fears when GP left was that the Leicester game would represent the best we could do at home in 2022-3.

Also, the emotional impact of it all. A few tears from me at the end triggered by the sheer magnificence of it. Everything about it was perfect.

(I was at all the other special games people have mentioned; some great times but yesterday was the full Lou Reed, incorporating a very nice pre-match quaff, stroll to the stadium, excellent company, couldn't have been better )

This echoes my thoughts exactly. Mullering Leicester was still enjoyable, but like the smashing of Norwich it wasn't a history defining moment.

Yesterday was on a different level and is one of those games that will live on in history, not just because of it being our first win against Chelsea but the story behind it.

Norwich was one of the first 'top' games where we took the opposition apart. Wigan was just another game, nothing special other than the outcome.
Chelsea was amongst the Man Utd, Spurs games.

For some reason the West Ham win at the end of last season ranks pretty high for me. Getting that top half finish and capping our best season with that win felt like such an achievement. Just an all round positive moment for the club. & then the players doing the usual end of season lap so we could show our thanks. Very wholesome Brighton moment.

Donnie for me will always be top, I lost my voice for a week after that.
As for the others, yesterday was just fantastic pantomime complete with it's own villains and the others will always live in the memory for various reasons.

Beating, sorry smashing one of the historic top teams makes yesterday special.....Smashing Potter and Chelsea coupled with the £60m banked for Cucurrella who looked poor and very slow !! (Bet Tony was pleased with selling him) prob makes this the best ever . However it`s just yesterday so still buzzing...
