[Albion] New fan zone - "The Terrace" [Opening 29/03/25 currently]

... their souls to the devil? Sure ;)

    [Albion] Team to face Newcastle

Mitoma looked like he was really struggling with his back at the final whistle on Saturday. Still appeared to be in pain after the celebrations. Nasty feeling he won’t be available to start.

[Albion] List of players that have gone backwards under the current coach

Fair point. Perhaps then the question mark is whether having a raw coach and a raw squad simultaneously is the best combination to achieve the club’s ambitions and attain the improvement in players to finance that. Maybe long term it is. The tricky part is keeping the squad together in the...

[Albion] List of players that have gone backwards under the current coach

Lose, for instance, Baleba and Mitoma in the summer and then next season is a transitional season. Then Dunk retires, Van Hecke and Joao Pedro go the following year, another transitional season. And so on. It's an excuse that could be used forever. It didn't become a 'transitional season' when...

[Albion] List of players that have gone backwards under the current coach

Pretty sure it has been stated several times. European qualfication is definitely the ambition. Some people moan about the fans' expectations now but I think the club expanded its own horizons when De Zerbi arrived with a fresh perspective. While it was understandable to be satisfied with...

[Albion] Premier League & FA Cup 26-27/4/25

Don’t hold it against their fans myself. They’ve waited a long time for the opportunity. Luck is just the nature of Cup football.

[Albion] Premier League & FA Cup 26-27/4/25

Feel quite sorry for Forest fans. We know the feeling. Made worse by the absolute wank Wembley habit of blasting out City songs the second the whistle goes. Massive disrespect to the losing team.

[Albion] Premier League & FA Cup 26-27/4/25

Hitting the woodwork three times in an FA Cup semifinal is bound to be a record, particularly in one half.

    [Albion] Carlos Baleba

Joao Pedro’s histrionics certainly weren’t missed yesterday. Thought there was less diving around from the team generally, which was pleasing.

[Albion] Premier League & FA Cup 26-27/4/25

The stadium looks half empty. I hate the semis being at Wembley. This fixture would have been great at Villa Park back in the days before the FA spaffed a fortune on an inaccessible stadium that’s not even a good design for watching football.

[Albion] Premier League & FA Cup 26-27/4/25

I’m ALMOST pleased we’re out of the Cup. Imagine knocking out 4 Champions League clubs but then putting in a 3rd successive stinker of a performance against Palace. Doesn’t bear thinking about.

[Albion] Premier League & FA Cup 26-27/4/25

I don’t think so based on recent weeks. City are much-improved and massively motivated to win something. There’s been speculation Rodri and Haaland might be able to play some role in the Final too.

It feels very weird to want a Manchester City win.

[Albion] Brajan Gruda, what does he do?

I believe Buonanotte would have been more effective with the minutes he did get (as he was showing under Cooper at Leicester) and make a better case for regular inclusion...but we'll never know. Will be interesting to see what happens next season.

    [Albion] Carlos Baleba

With Mac Allister, Caicedo, Mwepu (sadly so briefly) and now Baleba we really have had some incredible midfielders in recent years. When you remember how much Bissouma raised the standard, only for the bar to move even higher, it’s phenomenal recruitment.
