Very sad news.
Saw them supporting U2 at the Hammersmith Palais in (I think) 1982 and they were excellent.
Top bloke and The Alarm never got the credit they deserved for the music they produced. The fans will remember though.
RIP.
There's definitely a decent player in there, and totally agree his confidence needs massively building up. Great opportunity in the first half, but he HAS to be working the keeper with that, if not scoring. Sadly not a patch on Minteh for defensive strength, and much less of a threat going forward.
Albion U21s in the Sussex Senior Cup semis tonight at Culver Road, Lancing, v Horsham.
Likely to be a bit depleted given the international break.
7.30 KO, £12 on the gate (£8 concessions).
Anybody going?
Which EV have you gone for? We went halfway house a year ago and got a Toyota Yaris hybrid, and have been delighted with it. While clearly not as green as an EV, it gives us close to 70mpg and suits us down to the ground (we do less than 6k miles each year, so can't really justify the hefty cost...
Just the one: Thin Lizzy - Brighton Dome on the Jailbreak tour (either 76 or 77, not sure). Four rows from the front, regularly dazzled by Lynott's mirror bass. Awesome.
Wasn't there but looks like a vital last gasp win for the Rebels, despite being down to 10 men. Two games in hand on Dorking, four points behind. Home win v Bath on Tuesday please
We go ahead, they level. 1-1 at HT
They go ahead, we level. Ding dong for rest of second half. 2-2 FT
They have a player sent off in ET (second yellow). We win a pen, Pedro scores 3-2.
Happy days :ascarf:
Fantastic effort. Massive threat going forward and kept calm to bury his chances, but worked so hard dealing with Neto then Sancho. Very exciting looking at how much better he can still get
Delighted for Jakub, particularly as his Dutch renaissance is being covered in a particularly amusing fashion on the sportwitness.co.uk website, who have clearly not been using high end AI to translate a Dutch journo's comments into anything approaching English :lolol: :
That praise also...
When it comes to the crunch, we could make a packet on this lad, so I hope the deal isn't dead yet.
That's my crumb of comfort.
Otherwise, there has to be an up and coming Serie A player called Garibaldi, surely? :lolol:
Oh yes, had a copy of this for a while. Much preferred Mr Greenslade's noodlings on things like Beside Manners Are Extra, especially with the Roger Dean sleeve art
