I can certainly recommend Scarpa walking shoes. Finished a 500 mile walk in them with no problems and having the Vibram sole you get a really durable shoe.

Go to Costa da Caparica,no tourists just Portuguese.It is only 30 minutes from Lisbon,travel over the old bridge and easy to find. Atlantic coast so can be a bit windy and sea temp is fresh any time of the year.
