Ash giving it some to Southampton fans after winning 3 points for us today.
He's directly responsible for 4 of our points so far, and gave us the extra push we needed last season.
He scores big goals at big moments.
Respect to you mate. I think he'll be one of those players that will divide opinion, and probably one of those you don't realise you miss till they're gone.
For me, Brightons recent success has been built on a spine of steel, the likes of Greer, Barnes, El-Abd etc, and they seem to be getting...
Must hurt given your current predicament.
We love him and respect him for the commitment he gives us. Championship might be his level but try telling him that.
We might be coming back down but we are richer, literally, for the success he has given us and his presence at our club.
Definitely a Burnley fan.
I'm not just gonna sit here and allow the good name of my club to be besmirched.
Brighton have along, long way to come in Football before they begin to ponder why a player joins Burnley FC over them.
Possibly. Let's hope you manage to pull yourself out of your own relegation dogfight. League 1 is a tough league to get out of, but then I'm sure you know that since a large portion of your history has been spent there/lower.
Just thought I'd revisit this thread to register my surprise that Brighton are yet again not matching the lofty ambition of their fans.
Perhaps some expectations need to be moderated to become more in line with previous levels of achievements as I suggested months ago?
And yet you've not managed to sustain anything like that over us in your entire history despite being so much nicer, having so many more fans etc etc.
What gives?
Lots of delusion to keep insisting on the 'money' card in light of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
If he plays for Burnley, he is more likely to win something than what he would if he played for Brighton. This is also true.
'End of', as someone so succinctly put it.
It's all relative though isn't it.
Even before our promotion, Manchester Utd >>>>> Burnley >>>>>> Brighton.
Like it or not, there is a pecking order in football, and it will always be that way.
I'll say it for the third time. Barnes isn't on more than what he was at Brighton. We were also...
I think that it also reflects badly that I am being accused of being on a 'fishing trip' or a 'wind up', simply because I have witnessed a lot of guff directed toward my club on two occasions and decided to call the people responsible for it out.
It isn't just about money or league. As...
Amazing isn't it? You don't have to spend pots of money to be successful.
Barnes came to "the shithole" in January when promotion was far from certain. I sincerely doubt he is on much more, if at all, than he was with Brighton.
So clearly things like this are taken into account, which is why...
Interesting point re money.
What we know about Ward is that he was due to be made Albions highest paid player on 13,000 pw.
What we know about Burnley is that our current highest earner is 15,000 pw, and it isn't Ward.
So perhaps it's not as much of a draw as we thought?
As to location, I...
