[Music] Are you a Bruce Springsteen fan?

On my way home from Springsteen’s Hyde Park concert. Really enjoyed it - so have to class myself as a fan

[Music] Who was the first band you saw live.?

Hammersmith Palais - 1979 (or possibly 1980) First act was Lew Lewis Reformer. The ‘main support act’ was The Specials. And headline was Rockpile - Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds. The two main bands were excellent, and have lead to a lifelong love of live music

Another vote for Bruce Springsteen from me…..

    [Misc] New kitchen

I can thoroughly recommend avoiding Magnet’s fitting service. Third rate at best in our case……after a successful claim to the Furniture Ombudsman and a claim on our credit card we are still out of pocket. The actual Magnet product (work surface aside) isn’t too bad

[Music] First gig, Worst Gig and Can't be topped gig?

First: Rockpile (Nick Lowe / Dave Edmunds) supported by The Specials, Hammersmith Palais, 1979 Worst: After the past year, it is difficult to think of any live music as bad Best: Springsteen - always been a great show, would probably choose Independence Day 1985 at Wembley Stadium

    [Music] Letter to you

Agree with previous posters that ‘Born To Run’ will be difficult to beat. Jungleland and Thunder Road are timeless. But - the new album is the real deal. Just hope that we get the chance to hear it live (any spare dates in 2022 at The Amex?)

    [Music] John Fogerty/Proud Mary

Rockpile was the first band I saw live - at Hammersmith Palais, with The Specials as support. Not a bad introduction to live music - Google reminds me it was June 1979

[News] A MASSIVE band is reforming....

Sadly not to be....but would be great if it happened. Mak Norman (bass guitar and vocals) is an Albion fan, so if he sees this....

    [Music] Bruce Springsteen

Reckon Norman means Earls Court rather than Wembley...... New album? From early listens it has some very strong tracks. No ‘Jungleland’ or ‘Incident on 57th Street’, but this songs were unique. Looking forward to a tour in 2020

    [Football] Bye,bye Berwick Rangers.

There is a speedway track round the pitch. Must be 40 years ago I visited to see a big Eastbourne win....
