Having lived there for a few years but thankfully now escaped - If you're going up early then head into Central Milton Keynes - plenty of pubs and restaurants round the theatre district - or there's Wetherspoons/Chiqutos down by MK station. Alternatively try Woolstones, couple of nice pubs...
