Please allow me to comment using your post. I cannot but feel that this is disturbing exploitation of the player by Tony Bloom, the club and their fans if what you think is the majority view. Mitoma is not Brighton's "property", nor is he a slave to the owner who might want to imprison him and...
I'd say 90~100% gone in the summer if a club the player is interested in comes in. It's the most ideal time for the club to maximize substantial profits out of the player, as well. Both the player and the club would benefit.
Do remember that RDZ is our manager, who did not mind flogging the player to death.
I have no way suggested that he faked injury itself. If you remember the club received criticism/warnings/advice from his national team last Oct. (Some rumour I heard was that the blood tests indicated a serious...
Do you know the details of his injury? Have you ever wondered why his injury has to be kept in such a secrecy and so lengthy? I'm not a conspiracy theorist, nonetheless it is a very odd situation. I can't fathom what the club and PB are spinning. While it is believed that he will be able to play...
I agree. We have already got a replacement who is much more expensive than Mitoma. We've also linked with a number of AM/classic wingers, including Nicolas Gonzalez who could be a solid addition if we decide to go for him again this summer, although I'd prefer Barco to be developed into a...
Hmmm, the way TB quoted to have said indicates that the club has some difficulty in organizing their East Asia Tour because they have to fit in with other clubs' schedules. "It would be wonderful if the club could arrange a match in Japan while Mitoma is around." Not sure what precisely TB...
We don't know the state of his injury. Do you? It is expected that he would be fine by June. I don't think his injury would deter potential suitors from showing concrete interest in him this summer. Besides, one assumes that any transfer talks with potential suitors would have commenced well...
We don't know the details of the contract. I think it's a standard practice for clubs to make players sign new contracts to raise the value of the player before a potential sale. (Esp. in the case of Mitoma, we purchased him dead cheap. )
Mitoma will be sold this summer, I guess. We've been linked with so many classic left wingers/versatile attacking mids who can play both wings so far: Jota Silva, Philip Otele, Nicolas Gonzalez, Mohamed Amoura, Assane Diao & Loun Tchaouna. All above the age 23, except Diao. Of those Nicolas...
Nothing should stay static in football business. Players come and go.
It is a very odd behaviour for someone in his managerial position to interminably whine in public about players he no longer has, or make a veiled threat about the club not recruiting established players or selling current...
