Another year, another Worthing Half Marathon, another new course. Not sure why they seem to change it every year.
This one was to my liking though and I managed to get a PB of 1hr, 29min, 26sec.
It was tough on the legs after running London Marathon last week, but I am glad to finally get...
Thanks.
It always seems to be late April on the hottest day of the year they schedule it for now. Not great when the bulk of training is done at about 5 degrees.
Got a PB of 3:14 in London Marathon this year, a year after my PW of 3:40 in the Southampton Marathon. It was tough and felt there were quite a few bottlenecks along the course compared to when I last ran in 2014.
Good luck to everyone who ran or has entered the ballot for next year. Surely one...
True, but I always thought the random allocation would take into account predicted finishing time to ensure there was a good spread of runners across the field.
This mentality reminds me of being told by the Man Utd and Arsenal fans in my class at school that their dads remembered all Brighton fans wanted Brighton to get relegated from division back in the early 80’s so that they could see some wins.
I wish they’d just do two civilian series a year instead.
I wouldn’t have a problem with them putting one or two well-known people in amongst them, but Duncan from Blue can f*** off!
