I must admit I've never heard the word "heartlands" used in respect to the United Kingdom. Anyone know where they are?

Once it's all over, are we all going to get along?

Is there a breakdown of results given? Will it be known which areas voted what, and if so to what granularity?

Shall we try for an "economy free" week next week? Might be interesting to let the other arguments have some air.

As I said, I only read 1 of the 7 or 8 pieces in detail. I did go back afterwards looking for something with a bit more data behind it, and the Minford piece gave a very strong set of conclusions. Unfortunately his piece was headed up with a large number of assumptions that were dubious to say...

It says that he is on their website. It might be different now but he was in that role when he helped write and produce the pamphlet. Can't be bothered to look through everyone else's bios but I did read Gerry's bit in the pamphlet. It's an awful lot of supposition and insinuation, but not a...

Credible isn't the same as independent. Gerard Lyons is in the pay of the office of one of the Remain camp's leaders, which seems to fail the definitions of independent you quoted above.

Boris Johnson's advisor, a UKIP leadership candidate... not sure that they really count as "independent".

QPR FFP may go to 3rd party decision.

Shame there's nothing in the article that suggests that QPR will pay up if the decision goes against them. Just another delaying tactic as far as I can see, given Fernandes' "defence" in the article.

Amused to hear this 11% number quoted on the Today programme a few minutes ago.

Thanks for responding. That makes the IFS numbers make more sense. It does however make it significantly worse for the IMF (now down to 0.0016% of their overall budget). The OECD budget page does seem quite convinced that its budget comes from member countries, although even if the EU did...

Did you expect me to respond to: which is a cheap way of avoiding any intelligent interrogation of the information being put forward? Or did you expect me to respond to: which is a bunch of your own personal supposition that you decided to label as fact?

I hadn't seen this table before so thought I'd take a look to see if I could find any substance behind the numbers. First off: IMF. I couldn't find a breakdown of their income but their net 2015 administrative expenditure was just north of $1bn. So the EU contribution, whatever it might be...
