[News] Drop off and pick up gatwick

I took a wrong turn trying to get to Maccies so had to drive through the drop off area. It’s a one way system so had no choice and I didn’t stop. Got whacked with a £100 fine but reduced to £15 if I pay within 14 days. A gesture of goodwill apparently. Be warned if you’re near Gatwick and...

    [Other Sport] Home gyms

I bought a wall mounted rig from BLK BOX. Got the rig, incline bench, barbell and 150kg of Olympic bumper plates for around £1,300. Although this was pre COVID. It’s a fantastic bit of kit and is super sturdy. I got the Goliath wall mounted rig. It’s modular so you can add stuff as you go...

    House prices to crash

Residential proeprty in a pension is a big no no. You can do it, but you need to set up a company and it needs to have a minimum ammount of shareholders holdingh a maximum share each.

    House prices to crash

My main stumbling block at the moment is that none of the mortgage lenders are willing to lend 90% on new build flats so I'm trying to find ones on the same scheme that have been lived in or have a deal with a mortgage lender. This isn't a stumbling block. It is saftety barrier preventing...

    Employment / retirement question

Employers can legally force retirement at age 65. This is the one rule that does not breach the age discrimination act. However, if the employer agrees the employment can continue.

    Best current mortgage deals?

It was the banks salesmen that mis sold endowments. While some brokers are shysters, if you go on word of mouth you will find a good one.

    Best current mortgage deals?

The high street banks screw consumers at every opportunity. People know this and piss n moan all the time about horrendous overdraft charges and apr's of 20% on credit cards, while savings rates are stealthily slashed to 0.05% overnight. Yet unfortunately most still speak to the salesman in...

    Best current mortgage deals?

If your worried about being on a tracker stick to a fixed. You are paying more, but at least you know how much you can spend on beer each month. You can get a 2 year fixed for 2.89% but the fees are a % of the loan so can be quite high. Can be added to the loan though. Or get a nice and long...
