Haka means more to me than a national sing-song. If watching delayed I tend to fast forward through the anthems as they are boring as shit. I think at some point we've got to address dual language anthems as well, are we going to sing our anthem twice forever? I'd axe our english national...
Otago Canyons out of Dunedin (Port Chalmers). Oscar Thomas organises them and they run semi regularly. Lesser known than the Petrel Station and Kaikoura as they typically get advertised off the Birds Otago facebook page and fill fast, but there is a very good diversity of species.
Couple pics from recent boat trips off the coast in recent months. These two Bullers albatross were into each other, a wee seal pup and a Bullers staring down a cape petrel. Had bad luck getting out in May but had 11 different albatross species on the weekend which was amazing.
Those are good, I like the one having a dip. I've spent a bit of time photographing these guys and they are very very difficult. I'm still not sure if best method is trying to track them as they come through or just being patient at an exact spot they are likely to go through.
I'm not sure I've ever written a cheque. They really aren't used in NZ, no bank or government organisation accepts cheques anymore.
I remember once 20 odd years ago I helped a friend in America who didn't have much money pay a small bill for like a hundred dollars. He eventually sent me a...
I don’t follow England closely, so this is exactly what has been confusing. On paper you shouldn’t be performing this badly, so there is always a chance when there is individual quality. Rugby is a pretty unforgiving sport though for not having your systems sorted.
Also what was up with Irish scrummaging. In theory they should have had an advantage but they kept doing daft things. Driving up, dropping elbow and burrowing in really obviously, screwing. I couldn't believe them just walking the scrum around when we were a man down and getting penalised ...
Really struggled with Barnes reffing in that game. In the first half the Irish prop just walking into the side of the ruck picking the ball up and Ireland running 40 metres up field changed the flow of the late first half. Then Ireland on the Allblacks tryline in the second half, Savea over...
Nice sequence. In recent months while out photographing albatross / other birds I've also been watching sea lions catch barracouta / trevally which make for good action shots.
Great thread. I had the pleasure of learning a lot about this last year, albeit different country, different health system. I TMI'd all my friends much to their amusement / disgust and I will continue to do so for the reasons the OP and others have outlined.
I initially had a PSA of 2.4, 2.7...
Excuse the self quote, but I had forgotten about this thread until now and it was interesting (to me) to look back on my post from May last year. Since then I've fallen quite far down the rabbit hole and picked up a used SonyA7riii with a used 200-600 lens. Also picked up a Laowa 90mm macro...
I've been doing some planting to restore some estuary up around the inlaws place and got quite into documenting the wildlife around there. This extended into taking photos for 'observations' for inaturalist which has become quite a fun hobby. A couple of months ago I brought a bridge camera...
Segregated changing rooms. Hard to believe this sort of thing actually happens still.
Chanting for a return of the manager by the fans is a bit crass, unless the allegations haven't been clear.
These are the worst. I've been though at least a dozen of these. Its basically another Myers-Briggs and has been panned for decades as being absolute rubbish. e.g. wikipedia on Myers Briggs.
They are so painful to sit through. The thing that annoys me is I sometimes coach aspiring leaders...
