Yes, on the R10 there's a common setting which applies to both EVF and rear screen, with options for length of review time, or off. There's another setting which just applies to the EVF, either off or on (the latter reflecting the common setting).
Yes, I'd certainly go for the R7 over the R10. I went for the R10 because I wanted something very small and light, and I also wanted a built in flash. At the time, I could still carry my 7Dii, so an R7 was a bit of an overkill.
I still have the 7Dii because I love it, but I'm now too old to...
I have the R10 and am very pleased with it. AF tracking is really good. Of course the R7 has some very useful additional features over the R10. I think the R7ii is rumoured to be announced around Q3 2025.
Overall, I prefer mirrorless to a DSLR. I like to use the viewfinder and having exposure...
Since I’ve had my EV we have been away five times on short breaks – caravan park, lodge, cottage, B&B and an hotel. All had working chargers at reasonable prices, but they all had different payment methods! The smaller businesses had their own payment mechanism (adding it to the bill and using a...
And it seems you can be screwed all ways. If the house sells above the estimation (at time of Probate) then additional IHT can be due. Also, in that same situation, if the sale is delayed and enough time has passed, the Estate can be liable for CGT.
I agree with your point that IHT should...
I understand that, currently, the Executor has the responsibility to identify any gifts within the last seven years. That's why it's important for all gifts to be documented, with details left with the Will.
We have one installed in our utility area where our CH rads didn't provide enough heat. It's an Ecostrad IQ Ceramic (500w) and does the job really well, controllable by an app. Easy to install, it came with a 3 pin plug. They do them in different sizes up to 2KW. We got ours from Electrical...
I tend to buy most of my used gear from London Camera Exchange (reasonable prices and easy to deal with) but I’m happy to buy from any authorised Canon dealer with a high street presence. I’d also be happy to buy from MBP, who I understand have a very good reputation. I find the Camera Price...
There's a large range of really good used Canon EF and EF-S lenses on the market these days. Some that I have (or have had) that may meet your needs are (prices for ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’ condition, with 6 months’ warranty):
EF-S 10-18mm f4-5.6 IS, light, versatile. £125.
EF-S 24mm F2.8...
Mrs Ted and I looked into Trusts, predominantly to protect our joint wishes but also with an eye on care home fees. We concluded that:
- if you are going to set up a Trust, then you need to have full confidence in the person(s) making any decisions.
- one of the selling points of a Trust is to...
It's great to see the table back in action. Well done and thanks - it provides a great incentive. After a dismal 18 months of injuries, I hope to be able to contribute to it in a few weeks.
My HR never reaches 170 these days, cadence rarely goes above 172. I've always put my low cadence down to my long legs, but apparently that's no excuse.
Happy New Year everyone.
My understanding is that authority to share details has to be pretty specific and cannot be wrapped up in a generic document, such as an employment contract, T's and C's, etc.
Sometimes, with my communications, there is a need for recipients to, in turn, communicate among themselves. In these...
I regularly send out group emails to hundreds of recipients and have nightmares about making a mistake like this. Even though my work is not for a company, GDPR rules are clear for all organisations and individuals - no details can be shared unless specifically authorised by the individual -...
