One of the things I look forward to in retirement is permanently deleteing Teams from my PC. It's like an employer gaslamping app.
I've come across colleagues on Teams meetings driving cars, on trains, cycling (?) and in cafes, tw*ts. Some people seem incapable of doing one thing at a time...
Good luck with this. My father was a musician for many years and enjoyed that far more than being a property developer. You can actually make people happy, even if only for a short time. I grew up in a house full of music, instruments and strange people, it was wonderfull. I don't think my...
The NHS app is great. I had blood tests yesterday at 9:32 and the results came back at 12:41. Shame the results weren't as good as the app.
So many of my partner's clients (psychiatry) had this problem with their prescriptions that she prepared an instruction sheet about the NHS app for new ones.
True, there isn't much quantative evidence and we all have our own perspectives on what is significant. But, I completely disagree with your assessment of Kathleen Stock OBE. You are trying to discredit a highly respected philosophy professor awarded the OBE for their services to education.

Yes, it is a term used by one group of people about another group of people with whom they have a philosophical difference. I don't know which, if any, position is correct, but I don't like the inherent slur in the term.
I did a bit of reading and the following is from...
And in what way does that make them TERFs?
Your link refers to the Mermaids vs LGB alliance, which they lost. “We are conscious that this case was regarded by some as being about the rights of gender-diverse people or about the rights of gay, lesbian and bisexual people, but it is not; the...
This thread is an interesting read but would be much better informed if there were more comments from female posters as the discussion seems to be mostly about trans women by men. I've no idea what it would feel like to be a woman and I'm not sure I could articulate what being a man feels like...
Don't get too obsessive about monitoring BP, Eeyore. You'll be chasing your tail. Even taking amlodopine and losartan I get BP over 165/100 regularly and I'm ~6 foot, weigh 11 1/2 stone, eat 5-a-day, do my 5x30 mins. Thyroid function is very strogly associated with BP and its fluctuations and...
A great long-term source of income for pharma too. You are right in that while these drugs treat symptoms they do not address the underlying disease state. Part of the problem is that we have an increasingly sedentary work/lifestyle with age and many poor dietary choices to make. It's...
