Not so sure there are many ways to get out of it these days .. did read somewhere it was 'your civil duty'?! You used to be able to defer it for up to a year then when you were recalled that was it .. you must attend. I know when I received my 'call up' papers I almost fainted with the shock...

Myself and work collegues got one for a mates 40th .. I was disappointed when I saw it .. the recipient likes it though!!

I didn't realise until half way through the first 'triangle'. The rest went straight in the bin and NEVER again will I be darkening their chicken doors again! Disgraceful.

Recently purchased a chicken sandwich from a well-known supermarket (who has adopted our blue and white striped pattern for their carrier bags!) .. to discover that the chicken contained therein originated from Thailand!! Do we not 'grow' chickens in this country anymore then? I don't get it...
