    [Albion] Premier League 19-23/4/25

By today's standards (which I hate), that was a pen. We've seen many softer given this season. Neville talking nonsense.

[Albion] Not entirely sure what a penalty is any more....

Agree. The game has lost the plot where penalties are concerned.

I think Van Hecke has been worse than Dunk.

    [Football] Villa or West Ham?

No sponsor labels or names on Villa players shirts. Looks fantastic.

Completely agree re TAA. Hits the odd spectacular pass or free kick but that's about it. Can't defend and many of his passes go to the opposition.

[Albion] Penalty or not so much?

I don't think that's a penalty any more than the Villa or Ipswich ones the other night, and countless others we have seen given this season however, the game seems to have gone down the 'any contact' route now (but not all of the time!). I don't like it but the law makers seem to want it that way.

I don't recognise the game anymore when that's deemed to be a penalty.

Hilarious. The modern game is just daft.

Just caught up too with Sky Sports highlights. Don't know what all the fuss is about with the offside. Clearly half a yard offside, 8 yards from goal and the player makes a definite attempt to flick/heel the ball towards goal (albeit misses).

    [News] Justin Welby Resigns

This is quote from Justin Welby back in 2013 when speaking about the sentencing of Robert Coles (who was on some kind of placement at my junior school back in the 70's). "I believe that the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults should be the highest priority of all parts of the Church...
