Not allowed to buy a player and then loan back out to another EPL team, obviously including an EPL team you've bought from.
Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

That massively cuts down the chances we'll actually sell Biss - a loan back was one of the only ways it would work for us.

Why is it pointless if it keeps our club financially viable? I'd much rather Uncle Tony was happy than almost anything else.

And to keep Tony B happy we need to keep the business model which means retaining Premier League status,
Therefore as with any business investment is required or we will slide away down the leagues.

The guy next to me in WSU yesterday told me that Biss has a 40m release clause. Is that confirmed does anyone know?

We don't do release clauses.
Tony won't sanction them as it gives away control.
So the guy's info is based on someone's guess.
Equally we don't sell anyone without it being completely on our terms. Tony prefers to keep hold of everyone, even those the rest of us would move on.
If anyone comes in now for Biss I honestly can't see there being time for Tony to lay his cards down unless the bid is a fantastic amount of money.

Biss is many things but striker is most definitely not one of them.
