I don't think this will last long to be brutally honest especially if rates go down like they are, seems a bit ridiculous when you can easily go into a pub or club without a vaccine or LFT. I believe if you can get the vaccine (I literally see no downside of getting the vaccine other than conspiracy. But as someone currently sitting on their first dose and not able to get their second for another 7 days, its all getting a bit ridiculous.

It's £34 for a driving license, that's less than a season ticket costs per month. Is that really a barrier to you getting some ID?

Just a word of warning, driving licence applications are taking uptk 10 weeks to be proceased at the moment.

Does anyone know if I can take a photograph of my licence on my phone and use that as id or do you have to show the original licence? Need to send off mine for my HGV that is expiring.

You've made all that up.

1) A vaccinated person will still be infectious if they get covid
2) A vaccinated person who has covid does not pass on a weaker version of the virus
3) Even if 99% of people in the UK got vaccinated, it would not eradicate the virus - it will be around forever regardless.

This thread is a useful place to read and discuss the requirements for stadium admission as laid out by the club, work through the implications plus help people looking for solutions.

It really isn't the place to start talking about the effectiveness of vaccinations etc. If you really want to do that you will have to find another thread or start one of your own.

Club are just getting ahead of the curve and will presumably be testing out the protocols v Getafe and refining them between now and October.

I renewed mine recently and it took a day under 12 weeks to arrive

This is true and they are giving time for young people to get fully jabbed, its just an annoying experience for a few (one for me) games. Frustrating that I can't change my vaccine forward from the 8 weeks gap to 7 weeks so I can be compliant in getting in without a test.

I'm tempted to follow in The Wizard's footsteps and ask the club to pause my ticket too to be honest. All of this is way over the top.

I could just take a flow test (once I figure out how!) but what happens in October when/if they decide that tests alone are not enough?

I can only assume you have not read the club statement.
It is in place from the friendly on Saturday, but in addition to evidence of double jab, they are accepting proof on a negative lateral flow test. The Government from 1 October (if it goes ahead) have stated double jabbed for large events, without the negative test being an option, so there is a difference between the club and what the Government are indicating that will apply from I October.

Therefore if you have not been double jabbed you can still (until 1 October) attend games at the Amex with proof of a negative test.

I still have a UK driving licence and my sister/nieces informed me that a letter had come saying it would soon expire. I finally got round to doing the renewal online last Wednesday (July 28th).

My niece sent me a message (literally 40 minutes ago) saying the new licence had arrived today.

So that's err... Not a driving license application then. It's a renewal.

New applications over 10 weeks, renewals are quicker but still a backlog at DVLA. My d digital tachograph drivers card was faulty, applied for a replacement one and at same time a new one as it expires end of August. Nwe one came 2 days later, replacement one was 5 weeks, which means one as unable to work for 3 weeks. DVLA are crap at moment.
