I'd suggest an extra outright quick (e.g. Stone) or a spinner (Leach) for Broad is probably looking like the right way to go TBH

I'd forgotten we don't have a spinner in the team.

I'd probably go for Anderson, Wood, Robinson/Broad, and Leach as my line up given who's available at the moment. Includes a swing bowler, fast bowler, seamer and spinner.

Obviously in an ideal world the seamer in that line up would be able to regularly hit 90mph as well, so Archer would fill that slot if he comes back in and is bowling well. Or Stone if he can fill that role.

On a green swinging pitch the 90mph+ bowler isn't as big a deal, so on that kind of surface having Anderson and Broad together with the likes of Woakes, Robinson, Curran etc. can make sense.

ALWAYS INCLUDE THE SPINNER.

c'mon Robbo, get on that honours board.

2 debutants on the honours board would be pretty special.

His bowling is made for Test cricket. Line, length and bounce. A Modern McGrath. That was good from Root too.

I thought when we got those quick wickets, I bet the last wicket stand goes for about 50. Happy to be 10 runs short!
