It's huge, other than Fulham and Aston Villa how many newly promoted sides have spent that much? We spent about 70m when we came up and that was fairly big (we always know we will be financially backed with Tony Bloom) I suspect they will spend something similar this summer aswell as they are backed by the 49ers who are here to make a profit in football (the fella admitted he doesn't like football) by making Leeds a top top club.

Wolves spent £100m summer 2018, barely a mention, Villa £250m in 2 summers the same, Fulham’s £110m under the radar. None of whom achieved this amazing debut season with 16 wins and counting. In an EPL where most of the other 19 squads have cost anything between £900m-£200m. I think Bielsa’s done a fantastic job.

I think Bielsa has done a fantastic job, Leeds have done better than I thought they would he should be praised, but all you did there was add 1 more team to that list of 3 teams. Leeds were backed and I suspect will be backed and will become one of the top teams over the next few years.

I’m not on trial, being cross examined.

They spent £100m which is by no means a record, then playing against clubs who’ve spent between £900m to £200m in assembling their squads, have finished near the EL spots. We’ve spent £225m in 9 windows, yet have half their wins.

We could debate their summer 2020 forever, but it was certainly spent well.

Newcastle have fortunate final fixtures imo, the Blades and Fulham.

With Saint-Maximin back and playing brilliantly, they could eaily end up with 45 points.

Another club NSC predicts every mid-season as near certs for relegation.

Does that include you?

Absolutly but just for the record our current squad did not cost us £225m. infact I think when we played them our team cost £78m theirs cost.their starting line up about 60m

The Albion’s board of directors signed audited accounts showing the club had spent £202m in transfer fees.

Then signed Veltman £0.9m, Zequiri £3.5m, Moder and Karbownik for £14.5m.

I can believe that, but I can also believe that includes £14m for Locadia, £3m for Van Heck £2m for Taylor Richards and how ever much the rest of the players not available to us cost. I also believe Leeds most probably spent near on £150m on their books. All this doesn't include players like Dunk for us and Philips for them..

Palace fans are the worst at cooking the books. They talk about the last five seasons where they have hardly spent anything, which means they can ignore £27m for Benteke and £30m for Sakho. It makes them feel better about themselves.

CP have about 6 players on huge money on long contracts, other lemons were too and finally got rid of eg Meyer.

I agree, payroll spend has to be brought into these equation/discussions too.

I can't wait for the meeting of the world's greatest CB and CF in a few minutes (Mings and Benteke).
