Surely thats handball from the keeper? It does get nodded at him from a few yards away but he's coming running out with his arms up.

Goals ruled out by a MM of a sleeve, contentious red cards but can’t see a deliberate hand ball from the keeper outside the box.

The clowns in the VAR control room really have excelled themselves this season.

The keeper even patted his chest as if to indicate it hit him there and not his out stretched arm

Blatant handball by Fulham keeper and penalty shout for Fulham too.

That deliberate hand ball from the keeper is as blatant a red as Dunk’s one yesterday.

Astonishing.

That's got to be the worst VAR decision I've seen. Can you imagine if Fulham came back to win after that?

If he is going to stop Rodriguez from scoring, I'm glad he got away with it.

Did I just here the co commentator mention a goal ruled out at WBA by VAR that was wrongly ruled out (Dunk?) .that didn’t affect the game? :moo:

Did the commentators just say VAR didn't intervene about the handball as it wasn't a red card offence (not a clear denial of goalscoring opportunity) and was outside the box?

I’m sure you heard them say VAR has just made another balls up...oh hang on that was what they should have said

On BBC website:

We've received a statement from the PGMOL Match Centre on why Areola doesn't see red.

It says: "VAR acknowledges it was a handball but it didn’t deem it to be a denial of a goalscoring opportunity because of the presence of a covering defender so didn’t recommend a red card.

"VAR does not intervene to recommend a booking as that’s not part of their remit."

Don't shoot the messenger.
