Dunks header was sensational. No two ways about it.

But it’s so rare for us to get the second. It has to be Tross.

Dunk’s goal is the sort of goal I used to dream about scoring in the playground (but never did); rising like the proverbial salmon to plant a header just inside the post.

The build up to Trossard’s goal should be trademarked ‘Potterball TM’: Quick, slick one-touch movement through the heart of the opposition. Fantastic to finally see the finish the approach play deserved applied with such an emphatic flourish. Pick that one out.

Loved the link up play with Danny and Adam...

The BBC team felt it wasn’t a great header, they were critical of Forster. I loved it though.

The play for Trossard’s goal was exquisite. I look forward to seeing it in the pre match collage on the Amex giant screens, accompanied by Radio Sussex commentary.

Dunk’s, purely because we need more goals from set pieces to give the team breathing space. Our style of football inevitably leads to tons of corners, which is pointless if we don’t do anything with them.

Two very satisfying goals today, for different reasons.

I think keeper should have saved Dunks header. Looked slow to react IMO.

Trossards goal was a good goal - not just the finish, but the build up play (but, we’ve done that so many times and never finished off the chances).

I said at the time it's the perfect place to place it against a hugh keeper and as the header was from beyond the penalty spot his view was probably restricted

I thought the ball was bobbling for Trossard on the TV camera angle and I didn’t think he’d get a good shot away, before prompting blasting it in the top corner. Great stuff.

Trossard for me. The build up was sublime and the shot unstoppable. Dunk obviously a very close second, but team play takes the plaudits.

I have already drafted a similar thread and poll for after the Newcastle game.

The options are:

Maupay’s volley from 25 yards
Welbeck’s bicycle kick from the edge of the box
Gross curling free kick into the top corner
The Biss thunderbolt from 35 yards
AJ’s mazy dribble and deft chip to complete his hat trick

“... you decide....”

Still can’t believe we only got a draw

Is this the first time you’ve seen Trossard play this this season? [emoji23]

I did not have one ounce of faith in him finding the back of the net. However, he may have lifted the voodoo curse now.

Haha, yes good point but I also expected him to score most of his others too lol.
As you say fingers crossed this goal has ended his curse.
Also the goal must have ended a period of incredible frustration for him as well as us,so hopefully this will be a new start for him mentally and hopefully take the pressure off and he will score more freely.

Just as we were lining up for the corner I shouted Dunk and motioned a header...a few seconds later and voila!! I’m claiming an assist.

Dunk by a mile.

You very very rarely see a keeper beaten by a header from that distance. He also placed it so perfectly it would taken a Gordon Banks type save to keep it out.
