But in reality goals per career EPL minute tells the true story.

Andone 1 goal / 238 mins.

Maupay 1 goal / 239 mins.

Connolly 1 goal / 368 mins.
(U23s 1/111 mins.)

Welbeck 1 goal / 274 mins.
(1/310 mins for us)

Murray 1 goal every 205 mins.
(1/211 mins for us.)

And for comparison,

Ashley Barnes 1 goal / 278 mins.

Nice statistics
Could you expand the figures to encompass over how many seasons and games played , these numbers are derived from ? I d also be interested to see how many games they were available/ unavailable for in the corresponding periods if you know where to find that info

Most of the data you need is available at fbref.com

Not sure where you'd find availability stats.

The best thing for everyone is if Potter gets Andone back in the team and scoring.

Win for Andone, win for the albion.

Didn't he upset Bissouma or something? Kicked the back of his leg?

Bernado kicked Andones leg.

To be honest I think he was shipped out because of his short fuse on the pitch after getting sent off for that filthy challenge vs Saints. Also Potter obviously thought Connolly could score goals.

Andone is miles better than anyone else we have right now.

I would’ve thought being able to get inside the head of a player with Andone’s obvious issues would’ve been one of Potter’s strengths, given his qualifications.

I forgot he was good in the air.

Okay, with no new striker signings likely in the next four days, with no U23 striker ready to step up and with Murray probably off to join Hughton, this fella seems like the only one we have left who might have some sort of composure when shooting.

There is still hope that we might score another goal this season! Grab yourself a cuppa, kick back, relax and watch this:

COMING SOON TO A SOUTH COAST CLUB NEAR YOU!

The bloke's a liability with a bad temper. Sorry - but I don't really want to see him back in the squad at all.

also Bernardo kicked him....

And it was a genuine accident. Bernardo was trying to volley his chewing gum as Andone bent over. Very unlucky timing.

Yes he was a bit hot headed, but we lack some needed aggression sometimes. If he’s learnt to tone that down slightly then I’d have him back. Given his time out he’d be a foolish man not to have learnt from past mistakes.

I've always thought he is a proven goal scorer at the highest level. Anyone know when he's due back ?

And I really didn't think the sending off v Southampton was as reckless as Dunk's v Palace *ducks and heads for cover*

Andone’s was just stupid and needless. I remember it well. I and the bloke sitting next to me in WSU just looked at each other and he just said “we know where this is going, don’t we?” I had to agree.

Hang on...wasn't he shipped out for being a disruptive influence and the only reason he's back is due to long term injury?

Firstly i very much doubt he'll be fit enough to play this season, and secondly anyone who thinks he'll play for us again is being a bit nieve. I suspect he'll be released in the summer without playing another game for us.

To think for one minute Andone is going to be our saviour really is the definition of clutching at straws.

Based on our current performance in front of goal, I’d say we are firmly at the straw-clutching stage

It's almost as though you want us to fail. Bizarre.

There was also a training ground injury where Andone hurt Bernado's knee and Bernado missed a few weeks because of it. Apparently Andone and Bernado were actually quite friendly and it was a total accident.
