Lead singer in genesis, if they dropped some of the songs by an octave!

I met the bassist at a Royal Blood gig. Lovely guy.

Mostly spoke about football - he’s a die hard Rotherham fan. Also told me about breaking his arm while playing footy backstage at a festival with The Cooper Temple Clause years ago.

Booker T & the MGs! Not just playing with nearly every act Stax recorded, but backing Otis Redding would do it for me!

How I learnt to play bass. A dream job indeed

TBH I'm more than happy with some of the bands I've been in and I've had some great times, I wouldn't want to be in many of my favourite bands as a bass player as styles differ and it wouldn't be the same.

Would jump at a Stones, Booker T or Weller gig though, I think I could actually pull that off.

For total fantasy, a few weeks at Abbey road with George Martin and the BEatles would be quite something, or Woodstock with Santana. Stone Roses at Glastonbury

I'd imagine the 2-tone tour was fun

I couldn't decide. Zep, Floyd or Nirvana.

I've also no idea how I could have forgotten Queen, to see Freddie in all his pomp up close and be part of the process would have been immense.

Duran Duran.

Girls.

My band went for a show case ( private gig to the industry) in a big posh studio in London in 1995 . . . . When we got there, waiting for the gates to open to let us in loads of girls appeared, a few screams, we were speechless . . . . Wasn't for us, for Duran Duran who were on their way out . . . 1995 well past their prime, but still cutting it! ( gits!!)

I’d have played drums for Nirvana. The twin wins of incredible high energy drumming AND preventing the formation of the Foo Fighters.

Foo Fighters, rock legends. Saw them at Wembley and they didn't stop for hours, no breaks just constant high paced rock! My favourite concert I've ever been too.

XTC. Maybe I could have helped Andy Partridge to have continued playing live.
It is alleged that the first bass I ever played belonged to the bass player of XTC.

A barely interesting fact there.

Any band then the Beatles I would have been like Ringo hanging on the the others coat tails amazed how lucky and how rich I was and all I had to do was turn up occasionally just to let people know I was still alive give the peace sign and waddle off fantastic

Bass player for the Cure.

Bass player for the Roses would have been fun, if not a little short lived (unless I can join Primal Scream too?)
