No one ever said NSC didn't have ecclectic tastes.

GT40, Miura, both top drawer, E types and DB5's for looks too, lets face it, they may drive like trucks but thats not why you want one!

Alfa 33, yes Icy, top car. My view of Alpines is tainted by some owners!

my friend owns this . . . rather nice.

An oddity, but I like it.

At the Goodwood FoS a few years ago, we were in thew paddock next to Allen Grant, US old boy who bought a dusty prototype from Lola in '65 . . . . still got it . . . . 10 miles on the clock . . . Lola MK6. quite beautiful. https://drive-my.com/en/test-drive/item/2484-1963-lola-mk6-road-test.html

I'd suggest:

Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing
Porsche 550 Spyder
Porsche 356 Coupe
Mazda RX-7 (FD3S)
Ferrari 250 GTO
Bugatti Type 35
Maserati 250F

Friend of mine had an RX7. Lovely looking thing. He was amazed and disappointed when it span on out a roundabout trying to keep up with my Citroen GS. Most people have no idea how phenomenal the roadholding on a hydropneumatic Citroen is. The Citroen Xantia Activa used to hold most of the records for cornering Gs in a production car., outperforming Porsche Carrera 4S, GT2, Honda NSX, BMW M3, Audio R8 &S8 etc etc. I'm sure modern cars arte better now, but the suspension is truly amazing.

The RX7, at the time was considered one of the best handling cars available. I guess it is down to who's driving it though. I love the FD, had 5 of them over a decade when they were cheap.

I do love a GS too. I knew of a Citroen GS Birotor but I think it's now sadly long gone.

Just checked. The humble 1999 Citroen Xantia STILL hold the Moose test record.

Current Champions[edit]
The Citroën Xantia Activa V6 has held the record since 1999, beating cars such as the track-oriented 2008 Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the 2017 McLaren 675LT. [13] The Citroën performed the test at 85 km/h (53 mph).[14]

Only seen a Birotor in a French museum. I had a GS 1220, 2 CXs and 2 DSs. Fancied an SM but needed to buy a house.

The RX7 was one of my favourite cars, but I loved my stealthy GS. My mate gave up trying to keep up in his XR2.

Here's my sexy little number - goes like a rocket ....

Many years ago I had a Vauxhall Corsa that I claimed was the fastest car in the world, as I overtook Thrust SSC in it (that it was on the back of a truck going round the M25 was an irrelevance). Sadly for this thread, my old Corsa was anything but sexy.

I’d like to nominate instead the following:

Porsche 356 Speedster
Ferrari 250 GTO
Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2
Sunbeam Lister Tiger

Plus all the usual suspects, Lamborghini Miura, Maserati's and Ferrari's from the 60's, 60's Stingrays etc.
