He's doing it at Celtic. Not even on the bench some weeks.

Well then, he's certainly not good enough to be sitting on a Prem League bench is he.

Killed White? You’re talking shite. Also, I don’t know whether you’ve noticed but we’ve got centre backs playing at left back and right back due to injuries and squad depth.
And yes, I do think your defence is playing that badly, hence it’s currently the worst in the league.

Thankfully it’s more about points than goals conceded and we’re currently on 20.....well on target to stay up. I’d have taken this start all day long for our first season back.

Zonal marking was directly responsible for their second goal. Two defenders got in each others' way and blocked Dunk's view - no opponent was involved until the ball rebounded in off Soucek. With man marking you have ONE man free to attack the ball on the near post and he heads it away.

Zonal marking IS the problem. Players don't seem to have a bloody clue what they are doing.

Well we scored two that's not happened for a while but leading twice and not winning is hard to take

Their first goal there was only the tiniest of gaps and the ball found it but for their second was incredibly poor defending Dunks poor header but what was Ben White doing caught ball watching from yet another set piece

That was 2 points dropped which could be massive, I really am starting to lose hope

But what if they’re the best players he has available?

Comes down to recruitment, again.

We are not going to recruit 3 new new centre backs are we ? It down to the manager to get something from what he has. Also Veltman has looked like a decent defender and is not being picked....

Why do we always drop points in the second half? Ah yeh, second half is the coach's half. Welbeck was dead tired in the second half and hardly touched the ball... Why did we wait sooooo long to get him off? What is the point of subbing Jahanbakhsh in the 90th minute? Do your subbing earlier please!!!!

Now we have a spent Wellbeck, Trossard and Maupay for Arsenal in 48 hours. I guess Potter wants to start Zeqiri, Mac Allister and Jahanbakhsh against Arsenal.

Some of the Potter haters here are a disgrace, could practically hear them celebrating that West Ham equaliser.

Please don't lump some of us with Normandy Seagull. He is an embarrassment to our supporters.

Potter's going to be the manager for a good while yet so I support him and the team. After last week the players are still fighting 100% for him. And it's Potter doubter mostly, never Potter hater.

Honestly though, could anyone REALLY see us losing that game? We should've/could've won it, but west ham hate playing us and they will celebrate the draw. We're treading water this year as opposed to floundering. I'm still on board with this potter stuff and I'm looking forward to a July/August of visiting Latvia/Slovenia in a qualifier in a couple of years time.

Couple of observations:

Two of the biggest pet hates on NSC: Maupay is rubbish and why persist with two players at a corner = our two goals!!

An analogy: If Brighton were the best looking woman in a nightclub, awesome to look at and watch but get her back home and she'd disappoint you massively in the sack!

As I said in my initial post, it's a shitshow up there at the moment which he's not responsible for.

Do you have an opinion on this? It seems like you're more just trying to trip me up rather than discuss the idea.

I don't think we can recall him anyway, but last year we'd likely have brought him on after Dunk's goal, and I think we need a full-on centre half in the armoury.

Funny how we seem to be playing so many teams when they're "under par". We seem very reluctant to give our own team much credit.

So that's Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, West Ham and more all being under par when we've played them? Wonder what the common factor might be?

The haters will get it eventually.

Lose hope? Bloody hell. It's not even half way through the season and we're not in the relegation zone. Haven't lost to a team outside the top 7 (when we played them).

I really hope the players don't read some of this lily-livered stuff.
