Biased git. I can only think those defending him are closet Liverpool fans, we have too many of them, even at Amex games.

His expertise seems to consist of saying yes to every question the commentator asks him. "Do you think Brighton will play more long balls in the second half after their success in the first half?"

"Yes Fletch"

He is like a poor man's Godber

It’s a close call to be fair as to who contributes least to any intellectual or original comment - Peter Walton or Mcmanaman.

This. All the way. The thing I can't stand about McManamanaamnananamamnan is his self-importance. Whereas Walton has one task, and he's utter turd at it. I think he said today "I need to re-calibrate my thinking", which is about the only decent thing he's ever said.

It'll be a surprise to most that there was any thinking involved to start with.

Peter Walton just reminds me of the character in the Fast Show pub scene. He gives an opinion and then when VAR gives the opposite decision, he then justifies why VAR is correct.

Would have been nice to have someone with a Brighton background. McManaman, Cole and Crouch a tad biased !!

Disregard how biased he is towards his beloved Liverpool, but surely he must be the worst commentator working at the moment? Gets so much wrong it’s crazy. First two minutes off the game and Salah quite clearly offside, yet he claims he was miles on yet the replay shows he was offside

I think there is a lot of irony going on in this thread. He really is the pits. I really don’t understand why BT persist with him.

His commentary so far has basically been “Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool Liverpool.”

With the occasional mention of “Liverpool”.

But it's not even commentating, hardly mentioned the game especially second half. It was like listening to Liverpool supporters discussing their team with disregard to the game, awful. I couldn't give a toss about their upcoming games and whether somebody was annoyed or not. Just like the person in charge of the cameras, why keep showing someone, usually Liverpool, sitting in the stand when the sodding game was in full flow. They were banging on about some crap whenwe got a corner, they never even mentioned it, once!

This is television for a national and international audience. Who gives a shit about Brighton? They haven't go any fans, whereas we have fans all over the world, to be very honest.

The presenter saying how great Salah’s disallowed goal was was more annoying.
