Ryan 7 - Solid performance.
Lamptey 6 - Less of an influence than usual but his usual work rate.
White 7 - Love his runs forward and defensively sound.
Dunk 6 - Possibly his worst performance for 2 years.
Webster 7 - On a par with White, striding forward.
March 8 - Lacks composure in his finishing but ran the line brilliantly and is ideal at left wing back. Good defensively too.
Alzate 9 - Incredible performance, covered every blade of grass and has such technical ability. Amazing player.
Lallana 7 - Quality performance without the impact of Alzate.
Trossard 8 - Inches away from a hat-trick, brilliant performance from him causing problems all over the show.
Connolly 7 - There's a definite lack of quality in what he does with the ball, but his running causes so many problems.
Maupay 6 - Brilliant penalty but general play was poor and stupid penalty conceded at the death.

Subs
Gross 7 - Very good in the deeper position with the game ahead of him. Picks passes for fun and with 3 CBs behind him we can afford his lack of defensive awareness.
Jahanbakhsh 8 - Should have been two assists but for Trossard thumping one off the bar. Looks one hell of a player in his natural position.

Potter 8 - Having ditched the pointless and aimless 4-2-2-2 formation, we look balanced and thoroughly dangerous. I hope this formation and these tactics remain. Tinker no more.

Alzate, March, Trossard and Lallana were all fantastic today in particular. Still feel so raw after it all though, just desperate for next week!

I'm finding Alzate is fast becoming one of my favourites, the guy is so fearless and deft

Ryan 6 Not much wrong but let in 3
Webster 8 Very good.
Dunk 6 Lowest mark for a long time but should have been more dominate defending set plays
White 6 played well but cost us for 2nd goal . It was his job to be aware of Rashford
Lampty 6 Did ok .Cant be expected to have loads of space to go forward every game
March 7 Apart from shooting outstanding 2nd half
Alzate 8 Very good
Lalana 6 Good in possession but felt he could have got closer to forwards more. Maybe under instructions to play deeper.
Trossard 8 Always dangerous
Maupay 7 Always a handful
Connelly 5 Played to his limits but sorry not good enough for what we need.
Ali Because we are short of goal scorers and we know he strikes ball well with both feet I would play him wide right ,March on left and Trossard closer to Maupay
Alzate 8 Very good

I am pleased with youngsters we have including Connelly. Fact is he is at moment not good enough at this level. Just a shame with good football we are playing if we find us in another relegation fight because we lack another central attacker. I do think Androne with right attitude would be answer but big gamble to wait for him to be fit. Bloom is a gambler so this could be the plan.

Can't do all of these .. but agree with the majority on Alzate and Solly. Both fabulous

Disagree with the majority on Connolly. Ran them ragged and caused them all sorts of problems. Thought he had a terrific game
I too don't like the way 'this' is going.
After Ryan, Connolly might be next man up, which is borderline disgusting.

The main reason Trossard was in decent shooting positions was because Maupay and Connolly were pulling their defence about all over the place.

It just doesn't happen in isolation.
The team structure and game plan means these chances can't happen in isolation.
Trossard had space to shoot because of Connolly.
Next time the roles may well be reversed and I guarantee all 3 won't be missed.

We have some very, very good young players, acquired for absolute peanuts.

Alzate (<£1m), Lamptey (£3m), Bissouma (£13m), White (academy) are EACH worth in excess of £30m.

Beyond those Connolly and Molumby, both academy players worth 8 figures sums.

Some incredible recruitment.

Ryan 6 - Average, made one good save but no chance with the goals.

March 8 - Strange game. At fault for the 1st goal, scored a goal but missed two others, but for most of the game he was fantastic.

Webster 7.5 - Decent game, distribution was good. .

Dunk 6 - Not his best game I am surprised how we are struggling in the air at both ends of the pitch currently.

White 7 - mixed bag. Mostly excellent but showed his inexperience for the Rashford goal.

Lamptey 7.5 - More restrained than last week and struggled at times defensively still an outlet going forward.

Alzate 9 - MOTM. Excellent at both ends of the pitch. Going to have a very good career

Lallana 7.5 - Tremendous for an hour. Ran out of steam a bit but understandable. We have looked much better with him in the side.

Trossard 7.5 - Sounds churlish to focus on the missed chances as he did very well but the crossbar one. Has too score.

Maupay 7 - Did well until the pen but could see the desperation in his face to close Maguire down.

Connolly 7 - Should have had two pens but otherwise quiet.

SUBS:

Gross 6 - Was he fouled for the winner? Looked like it to me.
Jahanbakhsh 7 - Showed good energy and put in some nice crosses.

Sussex but not by the sea
6 average

Ryan 6, I don’t remember him having a save to make. Ok distribution.

Lamptey 7, don’t big this gem up too much please. Was still very good and won the penalty.
White 7, a midfielder playing at the back, he’s so composed, tied up by Rashford but many others have been.
Dunk 6, his little dip in form continues, nothing major but needs to snap out of it. Is he struggling in a back 3?
Webster 7, getting better each week, very solid and good with the ball.
March 8, MOM, would have been a 9 if his finishing had been slightly better, I said before this season started he had everything needed to be a quality LWB, he’s starting to believe it himself.
Alzate 8, bossed it, simple as that, made supposedly world class midfielders look bang average.
Lallana 7, so cool on the ball and incredibly quick feet, I love the way he moves the ball so quickly. Propper has become 4th choice CM now IMO.
Trossard 8, did everything but score, very unlucky twice but should have buried that third one.
Maupay 7, works so hard, great penalty, but.....
Connolly 7, again works so hard, that was a penalty and VAR is a joke.

Gross 6, did OK but hits the first defenfer too often from set pieces.
AJ 7, did very well when he came on, must be pushing for a start now. Growing in confidence and looking a different player now.

Ref - weak, I thought he got Connolly’s pen spot on but then bottled it. Pogba (who was shit) got away with countless fouls yet no yellow.

Potter - is this the first time he has fielded a starting 11 that would have clearly been the same as the last league match if Bissouma hadn't been suspended?

Ryan - 5 - 3 shots on target and 3 goals conceded. Don't think he could have done too much with the goals but needs to command the box better at corners and crosses, distribution was very good but seems to show his card before the penalty is taken. No doubt he's a fantastic shot stopper but balls into the box without Duffy there to do his job for him I do get a bit worried.
Lamptey - 7 - Had Shaw on strings in the first half, second half got pressed a lot and couldn't really affect the game as he usually does still played brilliant.
March - 9 - Best player on the pitch did everything well except get the 5 goals he could have got. Attacking was superb.
Dunk - 7 - Played well, could do nothing about the OG it shouldn't have stood as Maguire kicked through him. Standard performance from Dunk.
White - 6 - Good performance got turned inside out by Rashford but drove forward and really helped start attacks off. He's still learning will only get better.
Webster - 7 - Best out of the centre backs seems to be our only threat from corners at the moment. Passing was ill maculate.
Alzate - 7 - Becoming very reliable, always seems to pick the right option, defensively sound for the most part. Did get caught out for one of there offside goals.
Lallana - 7 - We were losing the midfield battle for a period in the second half, Lallana dropped a bit deeper and was evidently leading the side and helped us regain control. Really impressive from him against Pogba, Fernandez and Matic, thought he was quality.
Trossard - 8 - Never seen a player so unlucky not to score, on another day he gets 3. Absolutely ran the show. Gave away a silly freekick for their first goal though.
Maupay - 6 - Well taken penalty, few mis-hit shots ultimately cost us the game. However, I don't blame him and thought his overall performance was very positive.
Connolly - 7 - Played well, personally think the second penalty should have been given. Always runs and stronger than he looks.

Seems a bit unfair to call them "12 man Manchester United".

You've clearly forgotten Hoops: ergo "13 man Manchester United".

Guaranteed you'll be the first one complaining at some point later in the season that he has "no plan B" :)

Alzate my MOM too. Compare him to £90mil Pogba and he was 10 times better - brilliant!
