IF his head has been turned it would not be a good idea to keep him as long as the offer is high, imo

We need to let long time players who have done us proud the opportunity to play Champion’s League football

I don’t think many people are disputing that. The issue is will they meet our asking price which I would expect is £45m or so.

I can’t find any recent mention of Dunk and Chelsea on Sky/BBC/Guardian/Independent/Times/Telegraph.

That’s often a litmus test, I find, as to whether a transfer rumour has validity.

Wondering now if this rumour was entirely baseless.

They’ve obviously spoken to the blind company and established he was over the moon

This has now been going on far too long without mainstream reporting it's bollocks. Something may happen but no way yet.

Chelsea are also, according to this story from December, fans of Ben White.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10553083/chelsea-january-switch-ben-white-leeds-brighton/

Hard to differentiate of which player would be the bigger loss (assuming White steps up). obvs, Dunk is much more of a present loss as our captain and star defender, but White potentially has years more and could even be better in the long term.

If we had to lose one, what is worse........... take the immediate hit of losing Dunk with a plethora of CB's at the club or the potential longer term hit of losing White?

Hurstpierpoint, a roll-top bath? That's one step away from pampas grass as a 'signal'.

Oi, I grew up in Hurstpierpoint.

My parents did have pampas grass out the front

We don’t have to lose either

If there was a poll, I'd go for the immediate hit option (so long as the price was appropriate).

These aren't the players you're looking for.

Thankfully we don't have to lose either. Shane Duffy will be the one to go. Sadly.

All I see is idiot fans on twitter stating they are in the know, when in fact, they are not.

Really grinds my gears. 'my source said...' no, your source is fake and you are being an attention seeking prat. Until a respected journalist or connection with either club confirms it, it's usually bollocks.

I think it's 60/40 that he goes. I can't see it happening myself, but if he does, I would send him my blessings, he is an absolute legend and I'd be GUTTED if he did leave.

I’ve resisted commenting too much on this thread, but no, I am NOT, nor ever have been an ‘attention seeking prat’.

All I said was that ‘it was in the cards’, ‘talks on hold til season is over’, and ‘3 people have told me the same’
I never personally said ‘he’s definitely going’, even if the inclination of the people who told me suggests that he is.
I DO get some in the know info, and I rarely say anything. I wish I’d taken the same stance this time.

Some people would have you believe I was the worst type of Brighton fan have ever had, and it’s utter bollocks to think that of me.

As Keegan would say, I would love it if my sources have all got it wrong and he stays... but don’t label me as some kind of f*cking stirring idiot, because I’m absolutely not.
